The narrator's voice really seems like a bicycle fifth wheel to me somehow, just really unnecessary; IMHO this classic FF intro just works better without him.
@cha5 , When you consider the massive sci-fi and fantasy imagery stuff that is present every where you look (TV, movies, video games and whatnot), I could see your point. When I was 10 in 1967 when this came out, the characters were six years old. And to step beyond Filmation's Superman debut in 1966, I'm sure Hanna Barbera wanted to set it apart of the growing numbers of super heroes on Saturday morning TV (my heyday before the networks saturation of cutesyness and cut backs on violence)
@SolarisBreeze57 Yeah, about the only complant I'd have about this 1967 FF cartoon series is that it couldn't come close to capturing what Jack Kirby and Joe Sinnot were doing visually in the pages of the original Fantastic Four comicbook around 1967, but this Hanna Barbera cartoon really came closer in spirit to Stan Lee & Jack Kirby's original comic than those later FF cartoons & live action films ever did. Whenever I read a Kirby FF comic this theme is always running through my mind.
When did Iceman join the Fantastic Four??? At around the 38 to 40 second mark Sue has a field up protecting them from Galactus and I see Iceman in there... not Johnny Storm.
Hmmm, I remember this clearly when I was growing up but I also remember Ben Grimm in a black hat and trenchcoat busting out of the doorway of a building at the start of each show. As he looks up, the number 4 explodes in the sky. I might be wrong though, it's been many years.
"Johnny! Flame on, Fag!" (or so we used to say when we were kids!
