  • I love natural horsemanship! I am trying to expand my knowledge and experience with it. I'm curious if you use parelli methods? I'm not a parelli "follower" but I've bought his DVD set, I watched some of it but I don't really like how he explains things. But I'm curious if you use Parelli? Or a different method?

  • fantastic!!! You make this look really easy!!! I absolutely love this video!! your horse must love you deeply! You must luv him/her deeply!!! WOW!! You must feel like magic when riding.. I know I do when my horse just canters a few steps without fighting

  • love you and your horse :) great job, well done :)

  • Good job! You make it look so easy! :)

  • Crazy awesome leg you have! My jaw literally dropped when you jumped bareback. Yeah, I bet I could to but you make it look so easy and you have a perfect position.

  • Great balance and riding. This takes lots of time and patients. You go Girl.

  • This is a beautiful Video, Your horse is absolutely irriplaceable. Congratulations on your accomplishments with your horse and best of luck for your future!

  • Love it!

  • very sweet fjord horse and very very good trust!!!

  • Super! I will put it on my blog so that everyone can see how it's done!

    Thanks!

  • good job! beautifful! verry verry good!! :D

  • you still use a whip??

  • It's not a whip, it's an extension of your body language and as you see in the video it's a great way to proove that your horse trusts you with any object..

  • This is a really good video, and i can see the amaing relationship you have with your horse! I bet you're proud to show off to others!

  • yes I ride my horse with nothing(no savvy string)

  • How do you stay on when you're galloping in your videos? You make it look so easy. Great job with your horse, that is some real work. If only everyone could take the time to figure and do that with their horses. I would love to incoorperate it into ours.

  • is there any one who rides their horse with nothing and i mean nothing no savy string

  • Absolutely lovely, I know that would have taken a little while to achieve, well done. What a beautiful friendship you have.

  • Thank you :-)

  • its called a carrot stick..and it's not a whip..it's used as an extension on the arm..because the horse body is obviously longer then the human body can reach unless you have some rubberband arms..and horses are naturally prey animals unlike dogs which are predators by nature. you cannot even compare a horse and dog, because they are too very different animals. too often horses are viewed as 'big dogs' when reality they are not like that at alll.

  • Nice job! I'd say you won your horses trust the minute you got on his/her back when rolling.

  • Thanks for the inspiration.

  • dit is oowk knap:O hoe krijg je het voor mekaar(A);-)

  • in het filmpje staat onze website en onze hyves. Via daar kan ik wel een boel uileggen ;) als je jezelf aanmeld op hyves ofzo..

  • My video response also demonstrates horsemanship..I dunno if it's completely natural. I think your vid is all natural until you use the stick thingy. I don't think that's technically natural for a horse. They don't get a stick/whip. Either way, you've done a great job w/ your horse.

  • Do we have hooves, teeth, and huge muscles?

  • The whip is just an extension of yoru arm/body, Not somehting you use to punish the horse with.

  • Why does everyone get so defensive about using a whip??? Every time I bring it up people get so up tight. Everyone already knows it's an extension of your hand, but all I'm saying is it's not natural and horses don't use whip like objects to direct themselves. It's not a hard concept.

  • Its not a whip, its a hand/part of the body.

Therefor its "natural", as natural as a predator (human) and a prey (horse) that is in harmony.

  • Whips are used the exact same way if used appropriately. Your the one calling it a whip. I mentioned both b/c they are used similarly. You can say people usually use whip to "whip" horses but the same wrong people also use a stick like object to hit horses. If you are close enough w/ your horse, all you need is your hands/ arms. They are not blind. Whips/sticks are for more finesse. As far as the predator/prey thing goes...

  • Every horse I've seen and raised has never viewed me as a predator because they are domesticated just like any other pet. (Take a dog "predator" that's never seen you before, they'll be scared too at first) Obviously wild horses will be scared of you, but no pet horse should unless you've given it reason to. And if you think a long stick and rope looks like a hand, anyone would tell you that's just retarded. You need to open your mind a little and stop believing everything you hear.

  • Accually, it was you who first brought up the word whip in the end of the post I anserwed in, and I dont get what you are so upset about. Nothign we do with a horse is pure natural, so if the girl wants to use a whip, let her. I dont use a whip, I dont need to.

NH is not only about be natural, its also about lerning a horse to not be scared of our gear, for example a whip.

She ise the whip as an extantion of her body, let her!

  • First, I'm not upset. I'm just telling you my opinion. I did mention the whip...along w/ a stick, was my point. The purpose of my comments was NEVER to say it's bad to use whips or that NH is wrong or bad. It was simply to state using a device isn't purely natural when a human and horse do communicate. THAT"S ALL. I support using a whip or whatever as a guiding tool. The reason for my last comment was b/c after reading it people always think I'm saying whips r bad & I'm NOT.

  • It seems like you're the one upset over something I never even said. In fact I ACTUALLY said she did a good job w/ her horse. I'm glad people use "NH" but sometimes everything done isn't literally natural. I really have nothing else to say to you b/c you keep putting words in my mouth.

  • To all those who don't understand where the term NH comes from: It's natural because it is based off of horse psychology rather than people psychology. It's not about adam and eve and horse in the wild.

  • You have a wonderful relationship with this horse! I have one with mine too..we are not quite where you are yet..but we do go bridleless out in the open! Make us another one..it was fantastic.
