That dog was very likely brought in by animal control officers afterward and terminated shortly after. It is standard procedure in situations like this, as it should be. The officers decision to tase the dog instead of blowing its canine brain out was probably taken more out of concern for the risk of collateral damage then consern for the attacking dogs wellbeing.

That dog was very likely brought in by animal control officers afterward and terminated shortly after. It is standard procedure in situations like this, as it should be. The officers decision to tase the dog instead of blowing its canine brain out was probably taken more out of concern for the risk of collateral damage then consern for the attacking dogs wellbeing.

They did it here in England and it was an abject failure.
Since they banned pitbulls, along with 3 other breeds that weren't even in the country, attacks by dogs have risen 26%.
Breed specific legislation is just tokenism to appeal to the tabloid media, it does nothing to stop dog attacks at all.
Making owners lawfully culpable for attacks would be the sensible solution, but, then, when have the ruling oligarchs ever been known to be sensible?

There is a law in my state that says a dog must be put down if it attacks anyone including family members. I got bit by my dad's dog twice when I was a kid because he wanted to protect my dad, not the family.
