There are many kinds of rockets you know.

In this case these are primitive rockets called Katyushas or Grads. They are extremely inaccurate but very cheap, easy to manufacture and easy to use and therefore are used by the Hezbollah in order to hit Israeli towns and cities which are huge targets and even primitive rockets have a good chance of hitting them.

Those rockets usually miss or cause little to no damage but in one case a single rocket killed 8 civilians- it's just a matter of luck.
