Sorry, I live 30 mile away so can't say as I'm not there every day. Like all the N. Norfolk/ east anglian coast, a good N.E. running down the N.Sea normally gives some fun. This was the day of the storm surge, and the waves would have been much bigger if the wind wasn't westerly as it was. I've seen 25' surf starting 1000m from the beach at Leiston when diving/working at Sizewell in '93.
