  • gotta' love those drums.

  • anybody heard the version by soul purpose nervous track (m's replay) a little more uptempo

  • nice tune!

  • never bad, always good

  • Classic N.Y House track . Thanx for the upload !

  • this song makes me smile. what great memories this brings back to me. dancing, eyes closed and moving to the beats; happy amongst friends, and nothing could stop me when this song played, 1992-1995 NYC & upstate NY crowd. good times. golden.

  • @JenniferG1973 .......ahhh so true .

  • Many a time you'd hear a quick shove or drag as a DJ corrected the mix when bringing this tune in! Those soft edged chords on the intro weren't the most DJ friendly - especially on crap headphones in a booming club haha. So a lot of times people would just drop it clean / alone from the beginning. Which only added to the whoops and cheers. Great track that crossed dancefloors and genres.

  • @WEAREBLOODMUSIC I can definitely see where trying to bring this tune in could be a problem. It is better to just start it on its own and let it do its thing.

  • @WEAREBLOODMUSIC I always started withit. :P

  • @oakland2949 - I wont be acting

  • I haven't heard this since i was in high school the 90's good times

  • @AveTheDon757 same

  • THAT BEAT=OUTSTANDING!!!

  • my raver serious, all-in raver career spanned from 1991-98. I own less than 10 house records; maybe less.

    This is one of them.

If the DJ plays this record, I will act the fool.

  • The American R&B industry did not promote this music. Gangsta rap overshadowed groups like Nuyourican Soul. What a disaster that was.

  • Massive! ! !

  • Brings back memories of dancing hard and sweating hard at RAW in Tottenham Court Road back in the day. Utter class

  • @mumrah33

Ah! Raw...what great evenings they were. Good mention.

  • sound factory bar

  • never get tired of this....

  • simply blown away !!!

  • bring those days back!!!

  • Memories...good memories.

  • I remember these days. Housin' my cares away at The Shadow or Nells.... I get up and dance now.

  • @nubonyx I worked right across the street from Nells back then, yes those were the days!

  • Maybe I'm confused, but wasn't this track from Masters at Work?

  • @AnasTangi Nuyorican Soul was one of Masters at Work other aliases (i.e. The Bucketheads...)

  • Great Label and Track!

  • nervous track id !!!!

  • @BERNELLI82 The Nervous Track. You can find it in any decent record shop.

  • Why does time keep on slippin slippin slippinG ? R.I.P Early 9o's ... This reminds me of watching the fly girls on InLvinGColor before the commeral's . yea.....

  • Great tune! It's a classic, I love it!

  • the little cartoon guy on the record cover looks nothing like one of my mates...

  • can someone please post the horny mix....lol

  • i love how they conceptualized this Nuyorican thang

  • this is timeless glad to own it on plastic

  • I used to let off to this back in the day, until my hamstrings gave out!!

  • @mumrah33 when you say let off, do you mean fart?

  • absolutely brilliant arrangement. superb !

  • this is so cool..........

  • Perfection! why is todays dance music so so shit?

  • Thumbs up if diggin' in the crates bought you here.

  • I am old but I ain't jealous of the people who now go dancing to the rhythm of some bob sinclair bullshit, not even a bit!!!!!!!!!!! Greetz from italy!

  • This is a... classic!

  • yo man do that shit''''''''

  • It's like the Loft all over again

  • It didnt matter what you played at the time, if you had turntables, you bought this record. This track is the beginning of what led me to house later in life. Baltimore/DC/Newark DE crew, love ya, miss ya. it was a great time but im glad its over.

  • fantastic tune off a fantastic album

  • The Paradox in Baltimore...that was my spot...

  • The 7 dislikes are straight HATERSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.

  • Ive been into all kinds of dance music from early 1990 to present day and this track is still awesome!!!!

  • Major jam!!! Sound Factory Bar all the way!!!! '93

  • broke night many times ....house music all night long

  • brike night many times ....house music all night long

  • 6 People are Deadmou5 fans.

  • @jellyjazz Nothing wrong with Joel Zimmerman (Deadmau5), you just stopped partying because you're too old for the clubs, or follow the old people. Music is subjective and we should not be judged upon our style. You judge, you mock, you put people in different places because they have other style, the club has changed. Many people probably didnt like acid house evolving in the 90's house. You don't listen to deadmau5 because your refuse to listen to styles that are different. You are ignorant.

  • @jellyjazz im a deadmau5 fan and I like this shit

  • @TuningFreak23 How dare you call this track shit

  • @idontuseyewtube is it necessary to explain? its good shit , oh god

  • @jellyjazz Man, takes me back to some of the best times of my life☺

  • @jellyjazz i like deadmau5, but i also like this. even more so.

  • its the drums i think

  • the intro is a life changing experience

  • @m1kesci8erraz i totally agree. i was hooked on this song the very first time i heard the intro

  • lol you all are old fucks right :D Too bad i couldnt party with you guys .. i was just 7 when then 90s ended :(

  • @chabi3000 Too bad because you missed some good stuff. Unlike the bs music that is out now. This stuff out is straight garbage!

  • Aw man, this is it Right here!!! I have the Album, it's a Classic!

  • DAMN. HAD this on vinyl...Never thought it was a big song though...It wasn't played out all that much here (Minneapolis). I always dug it though.

  • wow! been after this for YEARS! thanks!

  • Crazy drum track. Kenny Dope and Louie Vega killed this. Nervous Records - they were the original label for underground hip hop group Black Moon.

  • Timeless piece of music nearly 18 years old but still fresh..

  • love this i had it on my ipod till i lost it :(

  • Takes me back.... :D

  • <3

  • thank you.

  • Man saw this live at the Sound factory bar....Lil' Lou had the crowd going crazeeeee....hell of a drum track.....though this dosn't have the horn in it...that was the deeper version....and the one to make this cut a classic....thanx romfordj for the post...Peace & Love

  • Only people who grew up in the early nineties, listening to this in a club, watching the dancers, staying there till morning feeling the repetitive bass banging on their chests (and probably have their hearing damaged like me)... can appreciate this music. Simply great.

Let's do it again! (I wish)

  • @againstotalcontrol -- well said, my brother. it was simply a fantastic journey and the music serving as our lives' soundtracks was the cherry on top.

  • @againstotalcontrol I grew up in the late 90s, and didnt start listening to deep house and lounge until 2006+. I appreciate this coz mainstream, rnb, hip hop and dance has been watered down to nothing now.

  • @againstotalcontrol

Your are so right. Your words are coming from my soul.

  • @againstotalcontrol I was 4 at the time of this release and i still appreciate it.

Thank fuck for my bedroom dj'ing nephew.

  • @againstotalcontrol

i am 27 years old and i am from tijuana mexico... i love this music and its much better than the new techno and thech-house, boring and flat using the same samples.... can u tell where i can dowload this beautyfull music???

    thanks

  • @againstotalcontrol What an era it was...Nothing compares to this now a days...

  • @againstotalcontrol I did that about a month and a half ago at Vanguard in LA. Some unknown DJ was tearing it up while me and the buddies dance dance danced like you can't learn in a studio till four in the morning under the stars until they kicked us out. I'm 24, and wish I could go back to those times you describe, because I know people who came from that era, and I've gotten a taste of it, but my friends and I can't go back, so we do what we can with what we have. Peace!

  • @againstotalcontrol there's a renaissance happening as we speak in the music. These grooves are back, and stronger than ever. Check out Wolf Music London. Sick, detuned piano lines, thick drum lines and vocals that bring tears to your eyes!

  • @againstotalcontrol i prefered the jungle/dnb floor ;)

  • @againstotalcontrol Fuckin' a-right. Those were the days. just think, one day we'll all be old fogies in a nursing home bangin' on about how good the tunes were in the 90's. Weird...

  • @TroyConvers5000 Hehe, that day in the nursing home is fast approaching. Hanging on to my decks and vinyl for the occasion, as for my hearing, fingers crossed :)

  • @willid123456 Do you remember a song that simply went ......everybody's doin it doin it real simple track but was the jam back then?

  • @againstotalcontrol : You are so, so very right...you would have to have been there...closing down NYC clubs for the night (the morning, really) ...hypnotized by the "real children" dancing, spinning, voguing...it was a magic time for deep house...miss those dayz...love these mixes that keep real house alive.

  • @againstotalcontrol Lets do it again buddy :)

  • @againstotalcontrol Dude, I'd do it again :) effin drums...

  • @againstotalcontrol...All I will say is "The Paladium, NYC." Either you know or you dont. Indeed..lets do it again!!!

  • @blackrogue162 Paladium, yes!!!!! :)

  • @againstotalcontrol to say that only those who were there can appreciate this music is completely wrong. While I may have been 9 and in America when this record came out I can still listen to it now, close my eyes, and picture being in a sea of people reveling in the moment and letting the music take them away - just as I am letting it take me away when I close my eyes and imagine that, while my body moves to the beat. Appreciation is far deeper than just being there at one moment in time.

  • @againstotalcontrol

HEY! I may only be18, but this is still the shit, NON THE LESS... quit your frontin'

(and my hearing is already damaged... bitch)

  • @againstotalcontrol there's still some parties in the NYC area that do it like we did back in the days. Check out the NYGalatik parties. You're right though, late 80's - early 90's was definitely the era for house music & hip hop for that matter. Peace

  • @againstotalcontrol, If only we could!!! What a beautiful thing that would b. But we have our memories!!!

  • fantastic tune man- no one knows!!!! its sad

  • Look up Vibe PM (Masters at Work Mix) Mondo Grosso feat. India...Sorry for posting twice, I didn't think the first message was sent. I hope this helps! HPFSound

  • reminds me of great nights with my late very good freind, RIP nibby, man, he loved this tune.

  • Somebody knows other tracks that sound similar to this song?? I heard other version very similar to the nervous track with female vocals long time ago and I´ve tried to find it....

  • @rilke001 If I'm not mistaken, you may be thinking of a white label MAW track that has "Soufle" on one side and a vocal similar to this track on the other. Very rare and very nice both are most likely Mondo Grosso. If the female vocalist is singing, "please free your mind, I just want to share some time" then its probably the one. HPFSound
