I'd have immediately shot the one that sprayed, once behind its front legs (to take out its lungs so it could not spray again) and then immediately in the head to put it out of its (and my) misery.
@NTEESUPREME why, they are way better than the ones we used when i was a kid...we used kill traps, and they weren't the quick and painless kind either...they were the type that strangle an animal to death. I'm not bragging, I still have nightmares about finding small mammals, skunks included, with their legs half chewed off cause they were trying to get away. They were shot if I couldn't get them out safe...so I'd say these are wonderful traps and exceptionally humane.
What do the skunk's lungs have to do with its ability to spray?

yes. Tractor supply was our big trap and we actaully got the smaller one from a freind. but the big trap is the best!
