  • the swedish version is best

  • look at the swedish version please

  • It´s very hard to understand them

  • no I not write that!

  • u r a very MEAN person

  • Uhm...

Don't they call her Cinderella? ôo

Even the german did and the traditionall name there is Aschenputtel

But it sounds not so squeeky in russian, I like that xD

  • no not every language does that, greek doesn't and spanish doesn't, i don't know whay they do that

  • in sweden we call her askungen!

  • The dutch don't either.

They call her by her original dutch name Assepoester or Assepoesje, as the mice say it.

I think it's just bad dubbing to call her Cinderella in german.

  • Because cinder is cinder in English (for example), so she is called Cinderella. Cendres is cendres in French, so she is Cendrillon. But in Russian cendres or cinder sounds like "zola". Thats why she is Zolushka (-ushk- - suffiks, -a - grammar ending).

  • no they didn't they called her "zolushka"

  • @MangaEngel

In Polish Cinderella's traditional name is Kopciuszek, but in the movie she's still called Cinderella in the Polish version. They explained it as the girl's real given name was Cinderella. ;)

  • @regerabit

Yes, that is exactly the same way in germany.

That's why I'm irritated, that she seemingly got her "national" name in russia xD

  • @MangaEngel Zolyshka in russian

  • @MangaEngel In polish dubbing there is Cinderella too (it's pronounced "Czinderella"), but we also have a traditional name for her and we always use it: Kopciuszek. It's from another word "kopciuch" which means somebody who's dirty ;p But it sounds strange when you say Kopciuszek and mean Cinderella. In polish "kopciuszek" has a male article. Funny ;p

  • I like this, it's way cute.

  • yess it is.

  • that wasnt translated too well

  • it was translated not word-by-word. I think they did a good job.

  • I caN UNDERstand this better than the english version

    rotfl

  • what? can you?

  • That was great
