  • fail! dont play hanks songs like this!

  • VCR we meet again ;-) Great video here of Dwight! thanks.

  • he got tight butt sexy

  • this has to be from the 80s

  • Can't speak for the others, but best I've ever seen in concert by far.

  • Linda, Call Morris n them we gonna have us a party!

  • Besides, Karl's liable to bust a spring...

  • yeah none of these covers are good to me anyway if you like them cool but i dont like the way they did it

  • very sexxxy

  • 2 chords Genius!!! Cajun rocks!!

  • He has that great gountry whang like hank senior ......

  • How to make a classic sound like any other tune. Sorry but he can't hold a candle to Hank.

  • dwight ruined this song and he is a real arsehole in real life. Terrible performance at his show

  • @MrHardworker09 Amen brother. I love his music, but he can be a real jerk in person and towards the crowds at his concerts.

  • Sorry this video just does not do it for me.

  • Don't you feel bad for six people who disliked this song?

  • I like the video! I think he could have put a little more "passion" into it, because it can be a real "hellraiser" of a dancing song! I love the way he puts different spins on some of the beloved country singers of the "golden years"!

  • He's done some really challenging things with the rhythm, in the chorus on this cover. That off-beat syncopation, that's live.

The fiddle seems a little thrown-in - it doesn't make much of a presence in the rest of the song - but it's real, too - and who doesn't love an original country song with real fiddle in it?

  • I can't fault Dwight cause he's a great talent but this song sin't for him. He's tearing the soul right out of it.

Hank Williams and maybe Billy Craddock are the only ones to really nail it.

  • @DrClawizdead Agreed. This version is second rate.

  • swingin'

  • This goes to show you a good ol Kentucky boy can sing

  • nice slide

  • r u serious

  • Aloha Red Dog,,,

Thanks for posting this, what a great talent Dwight

    is...

  • well i guess it's the thought that counts.

  • this arrangement is A+ and the back up vocal is perfect, no wonder he became such a success. (comment from a retired music biz record rater)

  • Dwight always gives big respect to the Fathers!!

  • I just loooove this man...

  • weak, just like every other version i can find on youtube. why does nobody post the ames bros? i have looked for so long

  • Can't believe that this is the same guy in " Sling Blade "

  • another great vid. I like his tex/mex take on this song too.

  • Realy Cool. Dwight is one of the best. Old Hank I am sure is far from rolling over in his grave over any injustice that may have been commited(none). Seeing as how Keney Chesney and Garth Brookes records continue to sell I think country music has more to fear than a man who has spent his career showing America how great this genre can be again.

  • ya...too bad every single artist dosnt sing , play, and sound like ol'Hank. We wouldnt have to call it music anymore,or artists, just hank...If u want to listen to someone else, dont click on DWIGHT!!!

  • The song were going so god, until they fucked it at 1:13 with a sound out of tune!!

  • what a disgrace hanks rollin over right now.i like dwight he mst be drunk

  • i think ol hank would be proud

  • Its A Tex-Mex Sound That Buddy Holly Used In " Not Fade Away "...... Dwight Prolly Took This From Him,,

  • You are the best Dwight. Love you forever..

  • singin 4 shit he would t get a smell,,,,,,,,//

  • i dont like his version.....awkward beat for this song

  • I had a found a slightly better version of this song by Dwight elsewhere on YouTube that I thought might make the beat sound a bit better for you, but it's apparently been removed for some reason...if it was due to terms of use or some BS like that, I sure don't see the "rightful owner" posting it here...

  • I never heard him do this bayou music

    before.

    He does it really well.

    Really impressed.

    Thanks for posting.

I love the bayous in Louisiana.

  • Hey Lady reptile wrestler, I love this too and the bayous too. Still have my feeling hurt about the concert in NM April 24th and I was so nervous for nothing ...but it was a great concert I wish I had run into Navahogirl as she took pic's that night and I was dumb enough to honor the "no cameras" request!

  • DWIGHT.... BEST country singer out there today. The rest pale. Sing some MORE Dwight, we NEED you.

  • @eclecticsteph Amen! Dwight is King!

  • not as good as ol'Hank. but Damn! he's got the BEST Country music voice..

and "he shudna done that... he was just a boy.. mmhm" (-Slingblade.. for those who may not know.)

  • just wow 5*****

  • He looks really young in this. When was this?

  • ya'll got any fresh biscuits in there hmmmhmmm

  • thibedeaux......whoooohoooooooo

  • This ole Cajun boy loves this song. When the fiddle kicks in, it was heaven.

  • Everyone does it in their version, as a tribute to the song.

  • Why did he do it ala Bo Didley,I love Bo but duit like Hank !!

  • I heard about Dwight just some weeks ago. I like his music a lot- It's a pitty to live in Germany. We do have some great countrybands and bars here- but it's not the same as it is in the States. His lyrics are great and he does well renditions to old countrysongs- as he does here to Hanks song...

  • @JerryBen Not a pitty to live in Germany, though.

  • @JerryBen - Is there really a market for American country music in Germany? I was thinking about touring there if there was enough interest to pay the bills with.

  • This is one song that sticks with ya. I love it, no matter who sings it. My husband hates it, so today I drove him crazy playing all the different versions of it.

  • I just love this song, and with Dwight it's fantastic! ;)

  • oh wow......this is a gem! Thanks so much for sharing this with us. There really isn't anything Dwight can't sing. :D
