  • ah i see i apologize. what are they like on the rover,

  • it looks to be a 350 or 305 chevy, the rover had different rocker covers didnt it. and the rover didnt that have the distrubuter on the left of the manifold,

  • @rockhaloschool small block chevy has the disributor at the back of the engine. As I said in the previous reply, rocker covers are for a small block chevy, they are fitted to the rover using adaptor plates

  • thtas not a rover v8

  • @rockhaloschool Ok then as you know soooo much, what is it? It's a 3.5 rover V8 from an sd1. I know cos I took the engine out of a scrap sd1 and rebuilt it. If you know your V8's which I doubt you do, the position of the distributor gives it away. Rocker covers are for a 350 chevy, The idea was to fool people into thinking it was something else. Fooled you eh?

  • thats a bullet proof engine, I drove a SD1 with one in it for 3 years in South Africa, loved that motor it did not know when to quit.

  • Metal ratchet lying on battery - bad move!!

  • When are you goin to put the trolley engine into a tractable motor ?

  • As it happens, American V8's are readily available here in the UK plus all the spares and tuning parts to go with 'em. I chose the "buick reject" because of it's small size and light weight. The rover V8 has a massive following here and is loved by many. Get yer facts straight before spouting ya mouth off. Dumb yank twat.

  • fucking A! considering it to replace the essex in my scimitar!

  • Well fucking said my good man.

  • @blinkynoo proud to be a yank as history has proven the British are NOTHING

  • @SentOWNSU ey fek you ya dumb arsed yank the brits come up with better machinary than u lot e.g triumph rover land rover aston martin morris MG and so on and so forth what have u lot done made fatman cars and v8s that pop wheelies wow real proud of u

  • I have just taken delivery of "a little Buick reject " in a Sebring style body and had it's first run against 3 Cobras amongst others. Aluminium and precision, not steel and "close enough is good enough". Shame the points table shows "little Buick reject" 3 wins, Cobras zero. Like me to go on? I will be posting video soon to let you listen to "a little Buick reject" sing it's song.

  • Hey Yankee if you knew what you should have been doing with it in the first place you should not have let it go, ha ha you guys cud only manage 140bhp out of it then some crazy fangled water fouled turbo to bring it up to 230bhp, c'mon .. . I have a baby 5.0 litre reject and its pushing way more than you might understand, think.. .by the way I am Irish.and yes because of the Irish the allies won the 2nd World War !!

  • Don't leave metal tools on top of batteries!!

  • beautiful

  • What part of the engine did you pull to rev it?

    Sorry noob here

  • ..... he pulled on the carb throttle linkage....

  • Thanks for that :)

  • throttle linkage on the carb lols sallright man a yr ago i wundnt of known wat to do!! lmao

  • thanks mate

  • absolutely bloody awesome

  • sounds damn good

  • What did you paid to get the engine like that ?

  • about £2000

  • does any one no where to got a digram of rover v8 3.5 su carbs

  • Britpart i would imagine

  • rover v8's rule

  • wheres your coil pack?

  • you should put that rachet on the battery incase u connect the 2 terminals

  • Im putting a 4.0 into my P5B with the same edlebrock config, lookin forward to takin to the road again. Cheers.

  • That should be nice. A friend of mine has a P5B with a 3.9 and 4 speed zf auto

  • I have a LDV 4 speed auto which I am hoping to use, also waiting in the background ultimate Buick 4.9 for next project wahooooo !

  • Where did you get that from? It's seems only the LDV ambulances have them and they're quite rare. After one myself! I have a BW66 3 speed in the cortina.

  • Hook it to the trolley...please!

  • Nice, it would turn my head!

  • sounds expensive i got a range rover engine 3.9 v8 ruinin on zephers and k&n filters pushin around 200bhp i think ive got it in a p100 hahaha

  • that's quite safe, leaving your steel ratced on the battery!

    nice engine do!!

  • The rover v8 is a beautiful thing and no where used enough in rods.

  • Whichever car that bastard goes in is gonna turn a few heads.

  • see my other video, its now fitted in a ford cortina

  • what carbs is she on that chrome air filter and rocker covers are nice perfect for my rebuild where do u get em?

  • Carb is a weber/edelbrock 500cfm 4 barrel, air filter is an edelbrock 10" signature series. rocker covers are edelbrock elite series for a 350 chevy fitted using adaptors. all parts were bought brand new off ebay. carb came from rpi, ebay user "partsrange". rocker covers, adaptors and air filter came from ebay user "rockercover" both are very good and helpful people and know their stuff.
