@RicerEater1978 the third brake lite under the spoiler??they coulda put on a newer spoiler..i have an 88gta that ive stared at everyday 4 the last 10 years n the 88 n 89 r very similar n the nose n the rear bumper dont got them black bumper guard things plus the tail lites look older..the 89 has like small black boxes over the tail litres...idk maybe this looks like this cauze its a v6 car

@johnpagecontraband or because its a firebird and not a trans am. you mentioned you have a gta, which came with a complete body kit. my 89 formula looks almost like this.

@RicerEater1978 dam i didnt kno the firebird n the trans am had so many styling differences..i thought it waz mainly under the car that waz diff...besides the ground effects n wheels n shit...glad i got the v8 haha

@johnpagecontraband lmao, id would suggest checking out thirdgen dot com. its got a lot of info. another cool thing about them is that the formulas could be just as fast as the gtas. formula 350s are actually very rare because most people that were going for the 350 got the trans am package as well. not only that, but formulas had the same ws6 suspension option as the gta. trans am was mainly a name a few cosmetics. mine is a formula ws6 with a 350 tbi swap.

@johnpagecontraband 5.0 tbi, 2.73 open diff :( , ws6 suspension, t-tops, and rear drum brakes. ive still gotta get a chip for it, right now its running a tad bit lean. ive seen quite a few 3rd gens lately. theres one around town EXACTLY like mine, a white trans am, and a 92 firebird 3.1 owned by a local douche. took the muffler off of his car and thinks its fast.

GREAT Lookin car. I am trying to find that spoiler. Mine doesnt look as good. I have an 86 Firebird. I just have 2 questions. Did you get that part of the engine chromed? and How did you get that 8 ball shifter to fit? i my firebird has the same setup. 2.8L 5 speed manual. The car MOVES i love it.

All motors have their ups and downs.

A well built v8 will have massive torque off the line and a very high powerband. The little 4bangers will struggle to keep up with the v8's in the top-end.

It takes boost to really push these little motors and it definitely works. They end up lighter and better economy.

Check my vid of my friend's 300whp civic - it's fast as hell, a lot faster than my 350 bird. Just goes to show what we can do with little motors
