Good movie... solid... kind of a big hyperbole to claim that its the best German film as some say here. I can name about 10 German films from any decade that are worlds better.

@kehkehbia I like him, too, but not for being gorgeous ;-). He has done more films. Some of them by the same director Fatih Akın, e.g. his 2009 comedy "Soul Kitchen" (in which Birol plays a choleric cook, quite funny).

@sheaulle i didn't like ''the White Ribbon'' as much as the others.Also ''Das experiment'' is really good.Generally the best european films are German productions if you want my opinion.Here in Greece some good movies are now made but we are still some steps behind.you should check ''Plato's Academy'',it's greek movie and it's about racism.i know watch "Auf der anderen Seite"
