  • meanwhile in Russia.

  • A Land Rover Discovery or Pinz-Gauer would be better suited for this situation.

  • Wherever this is, they certainly have greater sense of community than in the US. Many times you'll be the only person willing to stop and help someone, while others look and pass by. We should all work together like this.

  • 5 human power is puling Subaru out!!!

  • I just see that Subaru lovers try to minimize the problems...They are not realistic.

  • Shame on Subaru. The big Subaru...Lada Niva is best.

  • 2:13 lol

  • You can only put chains on the front of a subaru. In the rear the shocks are close too the top of the tire on the inside. ITS AN SUV NOT A TRUCK! stick ANY OTHER SUV out there and see what it will do

  • I don't get it. My Forester has gone up steeper grades with more snow, no problem with the standard Geolander tires and no chains, I just put it in low gear. Maybe there's ice under the snow?

  • It may just be me, but I just don't understand this video. Now I've had some boring weekends before, but I can't see how dragging a car through the forest in the middle of winter can ever be considered entertainment! If that's not it then what? This can't be their transportation system, is it? If so it seems like they would get there faster if they left the car behind, of at least pick a road that's plowed. It's just that there are so many videos like this, it seems like it's fun for them..

  • Only one set of chains ?!?!?! How thoughtless is that ?

  • Time to bring in the one and only... Lada Niva!

  • Need a Land Rover.

  • Corki bushek!

  • modern day dog sled team

  • you all make mistake: this car not able to go the hill for three primary reasons:

open differential in front and [most are this] rear

    ride height

    gear ratio [no 4WD-LO]

  • you forgot deep snow and tires

  • The chains should have been put on the rear tires.

  • @bullikins its awd, as long as you have chains on both the fronts or both the rears, you should be ok

  • its not awd. its awd if its 5sped, part time electronic controlled if its 4spd auto [4EAT]

  • the vehicle was using only one set of chains_ on the front. since the engine is up front you already have more traction to the front wheels to start with. The low traction axle, the rear, is where the chains would do the most good. But that isnt the real problem, there is no ground clearance and the tires are too short for snow that deep.

    .

  • @bullikins nailed it right on the head my friend. I still dont get why people lower subarus in general, they're rally machines, not rice cookers.

  • @bullikins You can only fit chains on the front wheels. the shocks in the rear are too close to the inside top of the tire. There is plenty of ground clearance for an suv. you have to remember ITS NOT A TRUCK. stick a crv or a rav4 out there and see what happens!

  • @skelka01 In that case all bets are off. I own a 2010 forester, and I know how capable they are. Bottom line here is,as great as a Forester is you gotta know your limits in it. peace +out

  • Nothing is wrong- the snow is to deep and car sits on his bottom and wheels get no grip.

  • @MustRabbit

Excatly. The snow is too much for a stock car. For any car.

  • something really wrong here....must be the tyres...although there are chains...my Forester would eat that little hill

  • that looks like a pretty significant hill to me.

  • @inkydvd

You think that it's easy a hill like that with that snow?

I'm waiting for your video then.

It is impossible for a forester with stock differentials to make it.

  • could be the tires or the driver? lol

  • a Forester never gets stuck,

    what's wrong ???
