I'm on stock ei22. I just need to root to get rid of sprint bloatware. And don't have a PC. I used gingerbreak on stock ec05 and it worked. Don't know if it does with the stock gingerbread update

If your running CleanGB ROM you will need to go to settings, Locale and text to activate the ics keyboard.

@qbking77. Can you root the Samsung epic 4g on ei22 with gingerbreak? I was just wondering because I don't have a PC. And I rooted my previous one that way on ec05 and if so could you make a video possibly?

Oh by the way i tried to follow the original video but ended up bricking my phone and had to flash back to stock like three times.The link you put in the video on How to install android-sdk was the most confusing part because the guy explaining how to do it was very hard to understand at least i thought so. If you could release a similar video on how to install android-sdk that might also be a big help.thanks for all the videos,keep up the hard work,
