Hey man, love watching all the coin roll hunting videos when I run out of rolls. Today I found three buffalos 29,36,and a no date. Also, three war nickels 42p and 2- 44d's. That was exciting because it was the first time I ever hunted nickels. I usually do the halves and pennies. I have fou8nd thousands in silver. Keep up the good work!!!
@tesskansas it was already beat up to the max. no amount of duck tape would've fixed it, but I do like those boxes I keep all of them. minus this one ofcourse.
Nickels are my favorite coin to search; it's not uncommon to find nickels from the 1950's and with diligent searching, a War Nickel or Buffalo can show up. I have yet to find a Liberty Head in circulation, though they are out there.
Did you know that that 1950-D nickel you found had a mintage of only 2,630,030, and that it's worth about $14.00 (assuming it's in MS-60 condition)? It's one of the key dates of the Jefferson nickel series, and it definitely has numismatic value. Save it.
@vracer88 as I was going through them to see if I needed any for my book that was one of them. I saw how it had that low mintage I was happy but I don't think it's ms-60 condition lol
Hi It's Kyle, just wanted to say some of those nickels appear to uncirculated. Some 2x2 coin holders should do the job nicely. I'm still looking for that 1950-D. Nice!
Nice finds! The coloring on the nickels are normal. All coins develope that patina or toning with time. Some metals and where they were stored in certain conditions make them change in coloration. On my site, channel, you'll see I specialize in these kind of coins.
what do you do with the rest of the nickels? put em back in ur bank account or something? haha "oh thats unick (sorry for horrible spelling) its not a foreign coin at all its actually a dime i just made 5 cents" oh and you answered my question you bought the box of nickels
i found a quarter in a penny roll once... i was like wtf
