That giant beetle/bed scene looks like a mix of David Lynch's Eraserhead, Kafka's Metamorposis, and David Cronenberg's Naked Lunch. I read about this movie years ago when it was playing at the Rotterdam film festival but, I got tired of waiting for a dvd release, and now that I've actually seen it for sale a few places, I think it's about time I bought a copy. I love surreal and experimental films (and animation, books, and experimental music which I make) so this looks like I would love.

I like this movie. But i think Eraserhead is better and more atmospheric.

I think you are right. I also think most of such films aren't art and only pose themselves as art while they are hollow (even from aesthetic point of view). Just my opinion, though. Also, i haven't watched this particular movie, so i can't say about it.

VERY good film. I was lucky enough to see it at the Dead Channels film fest in San Francisco a couple months back.

 HIGHLY RECCOMENDED.
