As far as motors being able to hold up to stress, or being able to put out high numbers on the stock motor, the 5.4 from the GT500/GT, LSX, and the GTS viper's motors will all hold more power for much longer than any import motor. This is all import vs. domestic shit aside.

WRONG! The flames are from the exhaust, he is obviously running open downpipe. Its called anti-lag. it allows cars with huge turbos like this to build boost from a stop, mix that in with some no-lift shifting and 40+psi and you've got the recipe for one bad ass supra:) lol

"Anti-Lag" I assume he means running open downpipe(s) to lower backpressure and let the turbo spool with less obstruction/ more top end air flow for higher power.

Basically, antilag is a system that retards the ignition timing so far that the exhaust valve is actually open and the piston is on it's way back up before it ignites. This forces the unburned air/fuel mixture into the exhaust manifold. So instead of igniting the mixture in the combustion chamber, it ignites inside the exhaust. This causes the turbo to spool up very fast while the engine is not under load.

IMHO thats a bad idea, Ryan Woon (WOTM) has been the 6 speed supra king for a long time now. Its about time sum1 else stepped up and made a challenge for the record things could get pretty good next year. There is now both WOTM cars, Boost Logics 6 speed and JPs supra who can all get within reach of 8.62. I have major respect for these guys, Taking a 6 speed down the 1320 with 1400 horses through the rear wheels takes a lot of balls when you see how loose these things can get.
