They scene requires full frontal nudity including a scene where the main character simulates a sex act while riding naked on a horse. The thing is that you are quite narrowminded. You have to get more information to make a statement.

It won a Tony award for best play of the year in it's debut year of 1973. Its definitely one of those plays that will be remembered for all time and earn a special place on any theatre/english major's shelf.

something about this video bothers me. I think it was the way she was so opinionated about such a brilliant and beautiful play. yeah, people might think that it was "disturbing" but it was just an amazing piece of art and trashing that when you haven't seen it is just kinda not cool
Equus - in fact anything written by Peter Shaffer - is brilliant and I would highly recommend it. Its about a boy who's parents are so protective they literally drive him insane - what ISN'T interesting about that? Every scene in the play is essential to the story - including the friggin nudity! I admire Daniel Radcliffe enormously for taking on the project. Some of you people scare the s**t out of me with your downright bizarre opinions.

Don't get my comment wrong. The play is suppose be beyond graphic and highly disturbing. The potrayal of this brutal person, blinds horse and has many issues. But that is what actors do, they depict characters of all backgrounds. And he is suppose to be fantastic in this. He is not Harry Potter. I dont mean to be rude but let me tell you that the play itself is weird and akward. They scene requires full frontal nudity including a scene where the main character simulates a sex act while riding naked on a horse. The thing is that you are quite narrowminded. Actually you have to realize that the people who took the pictures were expecting this reaction from people like YOU. If you read Equus you will find an answer to those pictures. You have to get more information to make a statement.

I can't even begin to express my disgust for rediculous people such as yourself. Equus, is one of the theatre's most sacred tragedies. It won a Tony award for best play of the year in it's debut year of 1973. Its definitely one of those plays that will be remembered for all time and earn a special place on any theatre/english major's shelf.

What has happened to our appreciation of the human body? Second, OF COURSE HE HAS BODY HAIR. HE IS, AFTER ALL, A MAN, and a rather sexy one in my opinion. I have heard so many good things about that play, and i would go see it even if Dan wasnt naked (but that is a plus). Another thing how exactly is Dan being Naked disturbing you. Equus - in fact anything written by Peter Shaffer - is brilliant and I would highly recommend it. Its about a boy who's parents are so protective they literally drive him insane - what ISN'T interesting about that? Every scene in the play is essential to the story - including the friggin nudity! i think you need to look at this from a different perspective. Nudity in this play is essential and i think daniel is a great actor that can pull it off. he even said he had the option of not appearing nude but that would deter from the realness and emotional quality of the play.

Don't get my comment wrong. The play is suppose be beyond graphic and highly disturbing. The potrayal of this brutal person, blinds horse and has many issues. But that is what actors do, they depict characters of all backgrounds. And he is suppose to be fantastic in this. He is not Harry Potter. He is Dan Racliffe, who plays HP and other chracters.He does his job when you follow his performance.
