Heres my two cents worth.....ANY TRUE OLD FRIEND...has your back at all times, and you his !!! SO I say do the desk and do the show (yer Future) and YOU KEEP the back half for later....when you are even more "FAMOUS" then YOU CAN FIX HER BACK UP,YOU can can can can do that and be the winner at the end of the track. Well Pete, me and my 58 Plymouth Belvedere...4 door sedan...aren't too happy right now. Seems like if a vintage car has 4 doors...it's just not desireable. Hell or high water, my 58 is staying in one piece. I haven't started restoring it yet either. I think a different front end should be found.....Just sayin'.......Cheers man!

@thisisunreal1 the 4dr's are getting more popular everyday, because thats all thats left out there to find.... If the car woud have been restorable, I wouldn't have cut the frontend off, I would have got it running and drove it.. Believe me it really hurts to cut this one up.

If i cant go through my gears on the way to get your best girl and go to a drive in movie then id rather be dead. I was designed to move at 120 mph. Siting here is killing me. Thats the automobile talking, the work of art that it allready is. I know you will regreat it if you cut it.But we do what we have to. Hopefully there is another way to save it. Pete, I know what your going through I had so say goodbye to my Oldsmobile Ninety Eight that had been in the family for 20 years. My father past it on to my brother then my brother passed it on to me. It's difficult to let go of the car you love as a friend but treated as a family member. It a relationship that not many people understand. If I had the knowledge and the tools at the time I would have tried to save her. Which is why I started watching you. lousy situation on your end... the people making it will make money, the people airing it will make money, some guy will get a desk, all the while you are the one who is making the sacrifice and doing the work to get paid probably the smallest amount they were willing to offer. I think there are definitely better avenues to take to get on TV where you don't have to sacrifice something most people won't understand. And also keep the people who do understand.

pete,i have had a 71 nova over 20 year's,i started tubing it 15 years ago,an never finished it,we have hald this car around over the years,an one day me an my wife got in a dispute about the car an she said its me or the car ans i told here to LEAVEthe car will not leave,the car it still in a storage place, an she is still here too,i would have made her leave but the car would have NEVER left.thank's for all the video's, i WILL be starting work on the nova this summer.

I wouldn't chop the car. I would put primer on it, put a car cover over it, put it on some jack stands and keep it forever. let swampy have it, let someone who will restore it HAVE it, it's a lovely vehicle, it's a great looking vehicle, and it looks almost complete exterior wise. i would keep it and sell off the other batch of classics and keep the one that brings you back to your childhood..money can't do that
