Courtney, Thankyou so much for sharing your story, I feel I am sharing your victory to be who you really want to be, even if it's different to what you have been led to believe. Suicide is such n intense reality check, I can certainly empathise here, sometimes believing that the world is against me and everything is futile ... but this illusion passes ~ we can b grateful for having the strength to keep going because there is a brighter future. I wouldn't claim to b an expert on this tho ;-) LOVE
Courtney, I found your YouTube because of the whole "I am Dean Hunt" video submission. I loved your submissions. Then I listened to your story about your book. I sometimes feel I am on the verge of depression, I am 49 my children are all moved from home and my parents are getting older, I don't work outside of the home. I am trying to find a way to make money on the internet. I just wanted to say I am going to order your book. Maybe it will help me through hard times. Thanks
I am a huge supporter of Lipstick and Thongs in the Loony Bin. Courtney's witty observations and comical timing has made me appreciate her honesty and integrity in talking about suicide and getting to a place of mental wellness through her inspiring journey. For many years, talking about suicide was so taboo, to be able to talk about it candidly and to help others know they are not alone and they can triumph through the fire is an amazing story to be told.
I can't believe that I found this video on the internet! I have had insomnia for the last 3 months, and it is driving me crazy. I can understand wanting release. I have to get this book!!
I purchased her book from her website. It is a fantastic book. Enough of the gory details of what it's like to be bi-polar, but more than enough humor to keep you reading. It takes a brave soul to share it all.
