I was born with VACTERL/VATER Association in 1957, including Anal Atresia (requiring a pull through), spinal defects and some renal anomalies. These defects left me with a life time of medical issues that require medical intervention. If we as a society are going to bring babies into the world who have birth defects we have to recognize that it isn't fair to saddle them with the entire burden of providing medical coverage for themselves for the rest of their lives. Let's get real.
I just wish those tea baggers, who are against what they call "Obamacare" and what I call a god given right and a basic human necessity that everybody should have, would realize that things like this will continue to happen without Obama's healthcare law. Do they like people being denied health care and health insurance because they have a pre-exisitng condition or they get dropped if they get sick or old? I just wish they knew how important health care to Americans are!
Now they intend to pay doctors a set fee per patient, essentially making the doctor an employee of the federal government. Thats why my family doctor retired when the health care bill passed, and now raises horses. And to ilovecoffeex12....so far as I know, the USA does not kidnap people and drag them here. You have permission to go home.
@whlcat Your doctor must be misinformed, because you can keep your private insurance if you like it, even under the new health care bill. I wonder if Dick Cheney would have gotten all of his heart surgeries if he was a private citizen? With his pre-existing condition he would have been DENIED! But nope my tax dollars pay for HIS health care and ALL the health care for ALL the politicians, but we the people suffer while they sit and laugh at us. We are the victims of greed.
Now they intend to pay doctors a set fee per patient, essentially making the doctor an employee of the federal government. Thats why my family doctor retired when the health care bill passed, and now raises horses.
Health insurance companies in most areas are no longer willing to insure children on stand alone policies. However, the baby cannot be denied coverage so long as a parent applies for and is approved for a policy with him.
The reason that the baby's condition was considered preexisting is that it preexisted their application. Had one or both parents been insured, (with most policies at least) the insurance company would have been forced to insure the baby starting with his first breath.

I'll tell you what, I've never been a violent man in the least bit. But if my new born baby was denied insurance and left to die than you can bet that I will hunt down every last fucker who pulled the strings to deny them and give them the same treatment my baby got. If they deny my baby life than I will deny them life.
This is Life conditioning. Life condonation exists because of money and the creation and acceptance of laws that support only those whose interests are in the game - in-sure-ends companies don't really care about LIFE, it's obvious - time to wake up people - not the companies, nor the government, nor people running this and any other country will stand for an actual solution that's best for all. Equality is the only way to deal with the atrocities in this world -
@MarlenLife Do you realize how many problems have been caused through corporations who don't care about peoples lives?
Go watch a movie called "Plunder: the crime of our time". Maybe you care more now that you're the one getting the shaft. But after checking out your videos, you think that doctors should make the same amount as guys flipping burgers at mcdonalds and we should all support people sitting on their asses doing ABSOLUTELY nothing so I really don't respect your opinion anyways.
This is why an Equal Money System is important to establish where each one is taken care of from birth till death. Within The Equal Money System, no one left behind as everyone is part off the ALL. I'm 1 vote for world Equality! Join us because 1+1=2, and together we can make sure that everyone would get dignify life! look at equalmoney website

If things are so great with Canadian Health Care, why are people coming to USA to spend their money if they can to save their lives rather than wait...and wait...and wait...?
WEll those Canadians who come here are the ones who can afford it. Not every canadian has the luxury to afford the USA's extreme healthcare costs only meant to serve the rich.
I had to WAIT and WAIT and WAIT in AMERICA because I could not afford to get help! I would rather wait 1 year for help in Canada then wait 5 years in this shit hole of a country where the help was NEVER going to come.
Any God fearing Texas Christian worth their salt would be praising God for the blessings already bestowed upon this little bundle of God's love! God made the child that way! Why is it okay for them to mess with God's plans like that? Shame on them!
I think this is insane! And I feel sorry for the american people that suffer under this crazy system. I hope that you one day get a better health care system. USA is after all one of the worlds richest countries.
United states citizens benefit from less healthcare despite spending more money per capita on healthcare, than most countries of the western world and so on.
...and despite this, people in america argue that it is "socialistic" and "communism" to have healthcare under government rule instead of privatized and in the grip of giant share-holder-revenue-focused corporations.
Thats why the american people is constantly indoctrinated with fear of "the government" and "socialist movements" and crap like that. Seriously! Lets face it. USA is lagging behind in many fields. American children do less good on standardised educational tests than the children of western europe and many asian countries. America has a lower average lifespan than most of the countries of the rest of the western world.
It is after all the democratic institution of elected representatives, containing all the societies most vital functions, funded by taxes instead of, by the societies economic powers, such as, mail, police, firefighting, roadmaintanence and so on. The extremely powerful financial corporations in the united states is (naturaly) very keen on maintaining its grip on as much of the american society's economy as possible, away from the democratically elected "government".
I live in sweden too. The US health care system is, in my opinion, completely insane. With the new healthcare reform it has been made a little less insane, but still...
Most of the modern free world has moved the healthcare completely out of the capitalist free market, into the government system. In the USA, the government is sometimes even portrayed as something bad. Why?
Leeroynaggins, what would your opinion have been if the defect had been determined prior to the child's birth and the mother had gone to Dr. Tiller to get an abortion? Would that have been better than denying the kid a lifesaving operation?
Funny thing is that, while the Republicans absolutely abjure the former i.e. abortion, they condone the latter i.e. denial of health coverage. Thereby, condemning this kid to a life of unmitigated suffering from the day of his birth.
In fact, of particular interest to me would be the question of what this family's position was on the Health Care reform bill. Let's find out if over the last 14 months of deliberations, these guys ever supported the teabagers or condemned "Obama's socialism".
@danta80 , love your sarcasm. I worked NBICU for 30 years, the hospital would do surgery regardless of insurance. Problem is they just pass on the cost by increasing cost of services to everyone else. The Insurance Industry is needed but they are out of control. Many babies have been unable to get insurance following discharge, it is criminal and untenable to parents and leads to divorce. I have seen it time and again. Republicans lost the argument and possibly the upcoming midterms.
Ugh! My DD had this same CHD. Since my son was born in the States, I was so grateful that we moved back to Canada and didn't have to worry about this! (And all our surgery and post-operative care is paid for!)
Hopefully all the loop holes of this reform will be exploited before 2014 and someone just makes UniversalHealthCare the same year they decide to do it instead of waiting years and enjoy watching these health insurance co try and keep up with non-profit healthcare. It would be Justice and gratification. I have a feeling that the right wing will blame democrats when these stories get more popular."This happened after democrats signed the Reform and never before. Democrats fault not Health insura"
Insurance giants are not human, they speak only for the money and the humans are the systems that operate the money. Distanced from the subjects by only seeing the money.
@DesteniPoliticsAus The subjects don't have to buy it if they don't want to. But they do. And the insurance companies provide because it earns them money. Because of this system, we have insurance.
"The subjects don't have to buy if they don't want to."
Because money is the focus and not 'living equality', all manner of means has been created to manipulate people in directions they would not choose under normal circumstances.
Yes, the art of selling is deception. Just make sure the thing you are selling benefits all as one as equal.
The poor kid's pre-existing condition is that he was born in America, where the insurance lobby has so much clout that insurance companies aren't afraid to say "we wont cover your child if it effects our bottom line." Where are the pro-lifers??!! Apparently they'd rather gun-down doctors than insurance executives.
The Republicans are willing to fight for the right for a baby to be born but not to keep them alive. I'm glad this reform passed, I only wish it would go into effect sooner.
Reminds me of my son with a birth defect in California. Basically we were told that if we were stupid enough to let him live we should pay for his care ourselves. Look forward to this all over folks. Next thing is, if tests show a child has a birth defect, you will be forced to abort.
@whlcat Very well said? see its examples like yours that people who think free medicare is unconstitutional, are really sad and confused people. But keep strong and keep fighting because we will get there soon.
@Darklord4vr all propaganda by the insurance companies ... my experience with insurance companies is: they are out to rake you over the coals.. and they make sure they provide KICKBACKS to doctors ... (unethical Doctors that is !)
@Darklord4vr Well, i think its overstating it, the bill was not a very good one i will agree but we can still add to it. I think the meaning behind the bill was we can change policy and that is what really needs to change.
Did you morons just read the headline and not watch the story? The kid was denied insurance BUT STILL GOT THE SURGERY. You children need to increase your attention span past five seconds. Try using your brains once and awhile.
@LawyerScumGhost No sir we watched the entire film. The point it is making is that they will even deny a baby! Why are you justifying this? we are happy the baby had the surgery in all. but the point being the baby shouldnt have been denied in the first place. It shouldnt happen like that. do you think that is right.
@Socrates469399 It's certainly not right to put money before the life of a child. But you don't have the right to force someone to do so against their will. Get your friends together and help the kid out. Don't sit in front of your computer writing things just to make yourselves feel better. Go out and do something. I routinely give free legal representation to indigent clients. I could do so much more if I was allowed to keep all the money I earn.
..but you do realise that you, by paying taxes, allready pay for firedepartment, police, courts, road-network and so on? Or would you like everyone to have their own securityguards on their lawns? It wouldn't be very costeffective would it?
I feel sorry for the "average Joe" of america that have to put up with your system.
You are against "to force someone to pay", that is taxes... Idiot! You apparently want Anarchy, not an organized democratic republic like... say U.S.A ! ! !
@LawyerScumGhost Yes I do that everyday? Sir i work for a very low income housing facility and we house people who have too low of incomes to pay for housing for "on the market rent" sometimes we break the rules and house homeless people for free and help them TRY to find jobs feed and clothe them all at the expense of me and people i work with.
@LawyerScumGhost but the point being you and I as indivduals will never have the money to pay for this by ourselves. I make $10 an hour and i work fulltime and sometimes i work more for free and i voulunteer work at a shelter, and i dont make enough to keep myself alive and keep them alive too. but if we all pitched in including the top 1% of us we could make this happen.
@LawyerScumGhost And even if the government kept that measily $160 they take out of my check it still wouldnt be enough by myself. We have to change the way policy is thats the true roots of this. Because you shouldnt put money before any human being. the same way you shouldnt put it before a child. And the top 1% has the money to take care of all of us. but im not asking for everything thing they have.
@LawyerScumGhost If Bill gates gave .1% of his money to help pay for free medical care, contribute to putting a homeless man in a home and giving him a job it would go alot further than if i and 100,000 people like me gave their whole checks up (and im not putting it on him because he gives more than alot of people its just an example). But the problem lies within supply and demand. If everybody was happy and had everything needed to suvive there would be a less demand.
@LawyerScumGhost and then that then puts a strain on large overpowered companies because with no demand how can you keep in buisness, and in turn the economy will suffer and lose millions of jobs, then we will be worse than what we wanted. Thats why policy has to change, the way it works has to change so we can prevent that.
It may take time for you to realize this, but our government is a barrier to your prosperity. They don't care about you. They look down on you. Bill Gates' company employs 90,000 people. We need more of him and less of government. I f you really want to get to the core of the problem, it is the Federal Reserve Bank. watch?v=pC8I3J-1GSM
You guys want effective health care, stop eating cheese burgers and fries and go for a run a few times a week. The parents of this child didn't seem to care too much for their health, and now their child is paying the price. Fat-ass USA all the way!
@cruisemissle2012 You know thats a good idea. You have a good point. but the thing about it is a cheseburger cost less than some lettuce. and for somebody who doesnt make much and has bills to pay what do you think it will be between the 2. or for somebody who has to work 2 jobs to make ends meet how will they find time to take a jog. So if the food industry would provide healtheir foods for cheap that would be a great idea. to stay healthy.
@enkoART I agree with a lot you said, but at the same time there are good things in the bill. So its not all bad. but the insurance thing is what is taking from it all. why are we being sent to the same companies that do this to children and alot of other people.
Insurance companies are there to make money. They aren't in the business to help people. They take the probability of an event happening and pick a premium accordingly. You can't blame a company for not insuring someone that has a 100% chance of causing a net loss.
@des1mone Yes you are right. But if the insurance companies arent there to help then they need to be taken out of being the ones our doctors call to see if we can afford getting help.
It is so strange .....the Republicans don't want health care ....at the same time they are against abortion. I guess they want the capitalists to do the abortion by doing nothing.
What I don't understand with the argument against universal healthcare is the United States can spend Trillions on Wars killing people all over the world, but they don't want to spend Billions on keeping their own citizens safe and healthy?! I don't get it. I hope your new reforms really start to help people.
I don't think everyone understands what insurance is. Insurance is not a mechanism to get services at a discount. Insurance is a product whereby people pay fees for later coverage in the event that certain risks that may or may not come to pass do come to pass. It is not intended to pay costs we know will be incurred.
If you buy insurance for your unborn child before the defect is known it should be covered. If you do so after the defect is known it's not insurance anymore, it's cost shifting.
It is so strange .....the Republicans don't want health care ....at the same time they are against abortion. I guess they want the capitalists to do the abortion by doing nothing.
I'll say it again.... America's health care systems is internally flawed because profit is put ahead of human lives..... From the very start insurance companies avoid sick people... HELLO AMERICA can you wake up.....Every other industrialized nation has figured this out.... Insurance companies only want to insure healthy people leaving the sick to die..... WHY? Because there all about profit
Yeah, the GOP's health care plan :DON'T GET SICK! This is reall disgusting. I hope this family takes legal action against this company, and the people responsible lose everything they own!
Hey Swede i saw how much you all pay in taxes/ Not that you don't deserve free healthcare, it's just you don't realize the fact that your taxes pay it. It is a human right, but the US is to busy with other countries to help its own people who really need it. Not to mention that our elections are predetermined anyway. We are not for the people, the elite are for themselves and could give two shits about people who need real help.
@Watcheruvdatube I do get it. I know that our taxes pay for it. But thats the point. Did you realy think that I think healthcare in swe comes from some magic hat...
And we do a great deal help to other countries too.
"Sweden's aid volume as a percentage of gross national income (GNI) in 2008 is provisionally to 0.98 percent, the highest in the world."
@Junglenose I don't think you do get it. In the US we do need to help our own in my opinion before we can help others, and that is only if others want our help. How much do Swedes pay for defense and military alone? In the US don't quote me here, but we pay more for our defense budget, than most major countries of the world. Most of which we use to fight other countries, and pay contractors to rebuild them. It's maddening. We have an allocation of funds problem, and have had since the FED.
I'll bet money that the day before they found out they were denied, they were all against Obama's healthcare bill. Ya know, being good Texans and all! KARMA FTW!
What kind of society are we that we would allow this?Thank God for Obama and trying to help everyone get health insurance.I never hear any republican say "yeah, everyone should have health care" but I hear them say it cost too much.WTF is this? Don't tell me we do not have the know how and smarts to help provide everyone health care? I also heard some repulican say that the gov of Canada came to US for medical procedure. We have the best, but WTF good is it if we all can't get it.
people is very delusional ...... you have cancer and you came to my , because you want my services you will pay me $200 a month on coverage and i will expend ...$500 a month on keep you alive ?? well this is capitalism this is not charity don't like it .....well next election get to know your country a little better before elect a president
@buzz851 Thank you. because you are absolutely right. Too much of it. That, it is no longer about the right thing to do but about how can we make more money if we do it. And if it cost alot people turn their shoulder to the right thing. and that to me is the wrong way to look at it.
I agree that the health insurance companies are heartless bastards. These are the death panels that stupid Sara Paln inferred were going to be part of Obamas healh care when all along they exist in our health care industry. I am sick and tired of the bullshit lies of the right winged liars.
It is not the role of a insurance company to give charity. The role of a charity is to give charity. If the insurance company gives insurance coverage to those who are already sick, that is charity because they will then claim immediately and effectively have instant free care. A company that has to do this will implode instantly, any sane man can recognise that. Charities are for charity, insurers are for insurance.
@tothemax01 No I do see the entire picture and your right. Because the 3 paragraphs you just sent me is saying all but one thing, its your responsibility to take care of yourself. but on the other hand do you just turn your back to those in need because you feel its their responsibility. This country wasnt started on selfishness. I know that because one man wrote the constitution and it starts off WE the people. and it includes words such as union, general welfare, ourselves.
@tothemax01 All those words should have been ME, my general welfare, and myself if they believed in what your saying. You are trying to change the UNITED states into MY state and so are alot of other people and thats not what it was meant for. Soilders dont go into battle thinking about themselves cause if they did our army would not be the best they are.
@tothemax01 Let me ask you a question so i can see what you think of money and then i wont waste anymore of your time once i get this answer because its relavant to what were talking on? Do you agree the government has to print off a limited number of tender to keep it valuable? cause you cant have $13 trillion floating around. right.
@tothemax01 Now if you answered yes. Isnt that in a sense putting Money in a bucket cause you cant overflow it? Now with that being said 1% of the united states people on 90% of whats in that bucket. 99% own 10%. Now with that being said ask youself your own question "why cant these people feed themselves", ask again why could they never pay for school, why cant they ever pay for much.
@Socrates469399 There is no bucket. That is not how wealth works. Wealth is produced, it is not assigned, and when people seek to assign it, it dies (proven). Printed money is worthless, mere paper, if it does not represent something. Only when men use it as their principle trade medium, does it have value. A $10 note can be worth a loaf of bread or a grain of rice, depending on the production of the nation. And It doesn't matter if people have more than you, only what you have made for yourself
@tothemax01 And then say what is wrong with the people who own 90% of whats in the bucket to help the little people out. They dont want to be rich like them, they just want to work, have a home, have free medical care, send their children to school hoping that their children will have it better than them. but its impossible to convince some people to give a helping hand sometimes.
@tothemax01 But your right i do draw a line past a certain point, and that point is doing whats right, being a good person, helping others out when they fall down and anything else after that is BS. but thank you for replying back your input is so very important.
american capitalism is funny and obama is trying to take charge apparantly, but the thing is that since its a "democracy" the rich have to vote on this, like the senators etc all those people, and those ppl are just getting bought over by big health insurance companies, since they profit from denying health care to people who dont have the money to pay for it.
What a shame, We have free medical services paid by our government in our little 3rd world nation of Fiji. Such a rich and powerful country can't even provide free health care. I find that hard to believe.
The services are not free, they are simply paid by other fijians, without their say so. Thats the difference between purchase and tax, in one the government is taking your money by force, in the other you get to have an think: "should I save it, spend it, invest it, donate it etc", which is far superior.
@tothemax01 You are correct that our government pays to provide us free medical care by using tax payers money. But as tax payers in Fiji we are glad that this is done. This system benefits rich or poor, they all get the same treatment. I'm well off for Fiji Standards and I'm proud that my hard earned tax money is beneficial to someone in need. I'd say thats a far superior system. A government that actually cares about its people. I pay no more tax then anybody else here & I have enough to save.
@tothemax01 Can I ask you a question? Should education also be a choice to pay for? We should start paying for all our kids to go to school in Kindergarten, Elementary, and High school or have insurance companies pay for it and maybe deny children who have pre-existing special needs. or maybe ask charities to donate some money to let children go to school. And maybe do the same for our police and firefighters.
@Socrates469399 Yes, education should not be free, it is a service just the same as cleaning or building. People have to pay for it one way or another, 'free' education just means it is laundered through the process of tax. Same goes for all of those other things except police and firefighters (although there are private firefighting services and products, and private security companies, the state must have the monopoly on force). 'Needs' should be satified with production, not theft.
@tothemax01 Do you know if 1 million people gave a dollar, we would have $1,000,000, thats enough to pay for alot of hungry people to eat, thats enough to pay for a lot of peoples medical expenses, thats enough to help alot of people in need. imagine if people gave $20 maybe $30. or people who are millionaires and billionaires give a $1000 maybe more. thats enough to do alot of things like free medical care.
@tothemax01 and it only cost you $1 or $20 are you saying a human being isnt worth $20 to you. Or it only cost a man worth $60 billion $1000 or more. We as human beings arent worth that much to you. but if you dont care id rather you say that, than try to explain any justice in what i just asked you, because their is none.
@Socrates469399 And if I gave him $20 I would be saying he isn't worth $20 to himself, which is worse. You have no understanding of reality whatsoever. You draw the intellectual line at the 10% mark and say ' thats it, theres nothing past this point'. Why don't you ask, 'why aren't these people able to feed themselves?', 'are we well fed because people have given it to us for free?'. When a man believs that it is his responsibility, rather than listening to guys like you, he can reach happiness.
@tothemax01 but you are right about something it is your money and you earned it. So there should be some type of choice on taxes if you want to give away $1 or not. and the results should be displayed to the public. And the public can finally figure out which amongst us are the greedy selfish ones and which are the ones who see another person as an equal despite your race, or you being homelss, or sick, or poor. That way the public can finally see.
@Socrates469399 Greed and selfishness are not vices. Everyone acting in their own interest makes everyone better off, people demanding that their stomach should be filled by others leaves everyone hungry. Men acting in their own interests means trading with each other without the use of force, which is a beautiful system. Men demanding that things be taken by force from other men to benefit themselves in the name of 'equality' is more pro-death (provenly so) than greed will ever be.
I think this will bring up the whole abortion debate, again. Cuz I would guess the company's position is: they only got insurance 4 the baby at birth, but his condition is congenial; that means he had it B4 HE WAS BORN---thus it's a preexisting condition! That's sick, depraved, & inhuman, but it might hold water in court. 8( The new law says they can't deny on basis of preexisting condition, but that's 4 PERSONS. People R normally not regarded as persons, under the law, till birth.
The Obamacare bill had a loophole that allowed this. Plus, it was written by insurance companies. Why would anyone support yet another corporate bailout.
What choice was there... the republicans are fucking evil and better at manipulating the democrats than I could have imagined. We need Grayson's bill to pass.
Obama is working for the Health Care Industry and could give a shit about the little people out here. He's just like the rest of the Rich folks and is in bed with the Highest Bidder. The only change this guy has for you is in his POCKET! Good Luck America...We Are Broke ....
Here's a great example of the private insurance company denying yet, another, person of insurance.
They're doing everything they can to fuck it up for everyone before everyone will be required to be insured. Thanks for posting this video as a pathetic example our such great private health insurance here in the states. 5 star video!

Go watch a movie called "Plunder: the crime of our time". Maybe you care more now that you're the one getting the shaft.

Socrates469399 1 year ago
@Socrates469399 It's certainly not right to put money before the life of a child. But you don't have the right to force someone to do so against their will. Get your friends together and help the kid out. Don't sit in front of your computer writing things just to make yourselves feel better. Go out and do something.
Socrates469399 1 year ago
@LawyerScumGhost but the point being you and I as indivduals will never have the money to pay for this by ourselves. I make $10 an hour and i work fulltime and sometimes i work more for free and i voulunteer work at a shelter, and i dont make enough to keep myself alive and keep them alive too. but if we all pitched in including the top 1% of us we could make this happen.
Socrates469399 1 year ago
@LawyerScumGhost And even if the government kept that measily $160 they take out of my check it still wouldnt be enough by myself. We have to change the way policy is thats the true roots of this. Because you shouldnt put money before any human being. the same way you shouldnt put it before a child. And the top 1% has the money to take care of all of us. but im not asking for everything thing they have.
Socrates469399 1 year ago
@LawyerScumGhost If Bill gates gave .1% of his money to help pay for free medical care, contribute to putting a homeless man in a home and giving him a job it would go alot further than if i and 100,000 people like me gave their whole checks up (and im not putting it on him because he gives more than alot of people its just an example). But the problem lies within supply and demand. If everybody was happy and had everything needed to suvive there would be a less demand.
Socrates469399 1 year ago
How about free health care for all like Europe?
navyboydjray 1 year ago
@LawyerScumGhost and then that then puts a strain on large overpowered companies because with no demand how can you keep in buisness, and in turn the economy will suffer and lose millions of jobs, then we will be worse than what we wanted. Thats why policy has to change, the way it works has to change so we can prevent that.
Socrates469399 1 year ago
It may take time for you to realize this, but our government is a barrier to your prosperity. They don't care about you. They look down on you. Bill Gates' company employs 90,000 people. Insurance companies are there to make money. They aren't in the business to help people. They take the probability of an event happening and pick a premium accordingly. You can't blame a company for not insuring someone that has a 100% chance of causing a net loss.

canadianmonte 1 year ago 2
I don't think everyone understands what insurance is. Insurance is not a mechanism to get services at a discount. Insurance is a product whereby people pay fees for later coverage in the event that certain risks that may or may not come to pass do come to pass. It is not intended to pay costs we know will be incurred.
If you buy insurance for your unborn child before the defect is known it should be covered. If you do so after the defect is known it's not insurance anymore, it's cost shifting.

It is not the role of a insurance company to give charity. The role of a charity is to give charity. If the insurance company gives insurance coverage to those who are already sick, that is charity because they will then claim immediately and effectively have instant free care. A company that has to do this will implode instantly, any sane man can recognise that. Charities are for charity, insurers are for insurance.
tothemax01 1 year ago
@tothemax01 No I do see the entire picture and your right. Because the 3 paragraphs you just sent me is saying all but one thing, its your responsibility to take care of yourself. but on the other hand do you just turn your back to those in need because you feel its their responsibility. This country wasnt started on selfishness. I know that because one man wrote the constitution and it starts off WE the people. and it includes words such as union, general welfare, ourselves.
Socrates469399 1 year ago
@tothemax01 All those words should have been ME, my general welfare, and myself if they believed in what your saying. You are trying to change the UNITED states into MY state and so are alot of other people and thats not what it was meant for. Soilders dont go into battle thinking about themselves cause if they did our army would not be the best they are.
Socrates469399 1 year ago
@tothemax01 Let me ask you a question so i can see what you think of money and then i wont waste anymore of your time once i get this answer because its relavant to what were talking on? Do you agree the government has to print off a limited number of tender to keep it valuable? cause you cant have $13 trillion floating around. right.
Socrates469399 1 year ago
@tothemax01 Now if you answered yes. Isnt that in a sense putting Money in a bucket cause you cant overflow it? Now with that being said 1% of the united states people on 90% of whats in that bucket. 99% own 10%. Now with that being said ask youself your own question "why cant these people feed themselves", ask again why could they never pay for school, why cant they ever pay for much.
Socrates469399 1 year ago
@Socrates469399 There is no bucket. That is not how wealth works. Wealth is produced, it is not assigned, and when people seek to assign it, it dies (proven). Printed money is worthless, mere paper, if it does not represent something. Only when men use it as their principle trade medium, does it have value. A $10 note can be worth a loaf of bread or a grain of rice, depending on the production of the nation. And It doesn't matter if people have more than you, only what you have made for yourself
tothemax01 1 year ago
@tothemax01 And then say what is wrong with the people who own 90% of whats in the bucket to help the little people out. They dont want to be rich like them, they just want to work, have a home, have free medical care, send their children to school hoping that their children will have it better than them. but its impossible to convince some people to give a helping hand sometimes.
Socrates469399 1 year ago

ZincFold 1 year ago
The services are not free, they are simply paid by other fijians, without their say so. Thats the difference between purchase and tax, in one the government is taking your money by force, in the other you get to have an think: "should I save it, spend it, invest it, donate it etc", which is far superior.
tothemax01 1 year ago
@tothemax01 You are correct that our government pays to provide us free medical care by using tax payers money. But as tax payers in Fiji we are glad that this is done. This system benefits rich or poor, they all get the same treatment. I'm well off for Fiji Standards and I'm proud that my hard earned tax money is beneficial to someone in need. I'd say thats a far superior system. A government that actually cares about its people. I pay no more tax then anybody else here & I have enough to save.
ZincFold 1 year ago 2
@tothemax01 Can I ask you a question? Should education also be a choice to pay for? We should start paying for all our kids to go to school in Kindergarten, Elementary, and High school or have insurance companies pay for it and maybe deny children who have pre-existing special needs. or maybe ask charities to donate some money to let children go to school. And maybe do the same for our police and firefighters.
Socrates469399 1 year ago

Socrates469399 1 year ago

Socrates469399 1 year ago

MOTHER FUCKING HEALTH INSURANCE AGENCIES ARE FUCKING EVIL! This is why Universal Health Care is better, because we don't get stupid shit like this.

The Obamacare bill had a loophole that allowed this. Plus, it was written by insurance companies. Why would anyone support yet another corporate bailout.

Here's a great example of the private insurance company denying yet, another, person of insurance.
They're doing everything they can to fuck it up for everyone before everyone will be required to be insured. Thanks for posting this video as a pathetic example our such great private health insurance here in the states. 5 star video!
