The plates are great, however, there is no side protection and the plate carriers are second rate, considering the wait I had to receive my vest. The plate carrier was oversized and soon wore out at the edge, at the back, due to rubbing on my belt. Side protection is non existent and the carriers are no good. A lot of money spent when the only thing worth having was the plates!

Will PPSS develop Body armour for firefighters? It would be a huge step in personal protective equipment used in the fire service. Definately would be a huge safety item in areas of civil unrest or terrorist attacks. I feel Los Angeles is due for another riot.

Ensure the body armour doesn't go any lower than your navel and you can kneel down, squat and control & restrain someone for as long as you wish - no restriction at all!

I work in security in Iceland. I was talking to one guy who told me that this west saved him. He´s a bouncer and he had taken a guy down and was waiting for his partner to help him escort the man outside. He then felt someone tapping his back, then he saw a bouncer run towards him and pull the man behind him away. The man was trying to stab him in the back with a 4" blade.
