  • Great performance,

  • Stephane

    Tres belle.

    Merci

  • Stephane is a beautiful skater. His artistry is unmatched :)

  • Dick Button's comment's that he came in 10th last year, and a way long more to go....he spoke too soon. Stephane won the Gold the following year (2005 and 2006,World, and silver medalist, on 2006 Olympics. He is one of the best figure skaters. He is SUPERB.

  • i wish dick button would just say what jump it is, and how well it is performed rather than talking the whole time. he ruins stephane's magic.

  • i agree ! Dick Button is an awful commentator ... he puts everyone down and never has anything positive to say.

Stephane Lambiel is just a beautiful skater... whenever I watch ice skating I am usually very disappointed with the skaters because they don't have that artistry in their skating, Stephane does and that's what ice skating is about! Not just the jumps!

He is a poet on ice! Absoutely gorgeous artist!!! :)

  • I guess we all know who's better now...

  • he didn't win with that performance???

    wtf??

  • So this is when I fell in love with him and I was so pissed off he didn't get on the podium

  • he's got beautiful spins~

  • I can't believ he didn't get a medal! Even though he messed up the short his was brilliant!!!!

  • The best program to never medal at a worlds IMHO

  • @grafgirl27

are you blind? Stephane fell in the short doing his quad, whereas Stefan L. had an amazing short program, completing all the difficutl elements. Furthermore his free was also a huge accomplishment! He had 2 gorgeous axels(one in combination with 3toe) and a good 4t-3t combination. He really won fair an square - your imprudent comment makes me laugh.

This competition was tough. The first four men were simply mind-blowing, but only those who were clean in the sp and free could win.

  • I'm sorry but Stefan L.'s 4t-3t was actually short of being good. I do believe that Stephane had enough to take home the bronze. Artistry and spins, I don't think there was competition on who was better. However with the old judging system, it is really hard to see the exact placement of how close Lambiel was to the 3rd spot.

  • Stefan Lindemann's 4t-3t in the SP was astounding. He didn't do it perfectly in the LP but then neither did Lambiel. Lindemann actually deserved 2nd place at these Championships. You should be arguing about whether Lambiel deserved Bronze over Joubert.

IMO, he didn't. The mistake in the SP was too costly . This program honestly wasn't THAT much stronger than Joubert's.

  • the music is called "Cielo azul" and "Eleni" from Johannes Linstead' s album "Zabuca".

  • Brilliant. Can anyone tell me what the music is called or where from? If not, can anyone tell me of legal means to make sure Dick 'dickler' Button never utters another word!

  • He would have medaled for sure if worlds were not in Germany. They had to give the a German medal as a gift to the crowd.

  • Why does the commentator say in the beginning: he has been a less consistent skater than Weir, he must make these opening moves?

  • I think Dick Button meant that Stephane needed to make his triple axel and quad-triple combo in order to get an edge on Johnny Weir. Stephane has always had issues with his triple axel and he had missed his quad in the short, so it was important for him for those jumps to be solid in the long in order to move up.

  • I really like this free skate from Stéphane...to bad he did not medal...he deserved one...

  • Stephane is always amazing! I wish Dick Button would just SHUT UP! He never stops talking and he has been that way for years and years. It is so distracting to listen to him babble on and on. He rips people apart all through their programs. I am so glad I don't have to listen to him commentate anymore! Thank God!!!!!!

  • i really don't like this music and seeing him now, his movements are like a sketch of his flamenco. what a evolution (and his spins are now better too) except 4 jumps. where's your flame stephaneeeee!!!!! find it soon please.

  • i would have put Stefan Lindemann over this program. In the beginning Lambiel's just posing. he does have better spins though, and did the second quad, but his other landings were shaky. Lindemann had that amazing freaking triple axel out of a spread eagle, and carried MUCH more speed throughout. Great competition though.

  • i guess we all know who's better now ....

  • Stefan Lindemann was injured a long timte and this season he needed surgery so Lambiel has to be better an he realy is much better than the german

  • awesome! What language was he speaking? He is sooo good! He was so excited . . . man, wish I could skate like that! He is wonderful, beautiful dancer. He is the skater, along with Joubert and Weir.

  • Absolutely incredible! I cannot find words for how much I like his skating! He is a genie!

  • This was a VERY strong year for Worlds. Plushenko, Joubert, Lindemann, Lambiel, and Weir all deserved medals.

  • their quads

  • His triple toes are amazing! Ha.

  • And What a good music choice!

  • I think it is one of his better program ifit is not the best and I think too he would have been 3rd. But it was in Germany and his results were very near from Stephan Lindeman's who is german so...but since this year, his wonderful skating have been "reknowed" (? sooy I'm french...)

  • He is awesome!

  • Stéphane is amazing!

  • He should have won the bronze. He was amazing.
