There's a MK3 Supra Owner that ran 11's with a 7MGTE & the Toyota CT26 turbo & Automatic transmission. He topped out the CT26 turbo's capacity on the 7M. Now he's running a bigger aftermarket turbo & he's bound to run 10's or lower in the MK3 supra at FULL WEIGHT & Automatic transmission.

You see, in my opinion, I would pick muscle anytime. Like here in this video I understand the supra is faster, but really??? This thing looks like shit compared to the mustang. This GT is still very fast and can whip alot of ass on the road, and plus it has it's bad ass looks of an American muscle car, which all imports dont have.

1. Fox Body Mustangs weigh 2800 pounds, if they are coupes they weigh 2700.( i used to drive one)

2. With a catback and intake you are not getting anywhere near 400 horsepower.( i had trick flow heads/cam/intake 8:4:1 Compression with a Turbo and was only hitting 550.

3. Mkiii Toyota Supra's weigh 3400-3500 pounds.

4. The brand new 5.0 Mustang's weigh 4000 pounds.

Not trying to argue or anything, just letting you know. I own an 88', they are easily 3600+ lbs depending options. I just read the Mustang GT is about 3605 lbs.

Sure there are the mix match cases but there are a hell of a lot more 7 second 1/4 mile mustangs than 7 second supras and more 10 second mustangs than 10 second supras, but there are NO ZERO NONE of the little supras that can run in the 6 second class and no supra 6 banger has ever run a 5 second 1/4 mile, mustangs? I get out to the track quite a bit and seen my fair share of muscle cars walking away with their tales between their legs when a 2JZ steps to the line. besides I never even mentioned anything about "ricers" if you go back and read my statement thoroughly. I said "supra" and nothing else. You only seem to be refering to cars that can't be driven as daily drivers. There are supras at 1300whp and street legal. No mustangs

Personally I have a nissan 240 with a chevy 6.0 carb'd and 100shot. That's just my toy. Now, go ahead and look around youtube and you won't find all those 1000hp stangs you keep blabbing about. But supras you'll find all day. My las car was a G35TT built 9.8sec daily driver and no stang ever beat me. Sorry try again.

for instance my mark3 supra had a 7m-gte engine and i live in new york state. great engines but blown head gaskets are annoying >_< stupid factory torquing specs.

The money your gonna spend to put in a 1jz could net u close to 350hp out of a 7m easy. that's means close to 400 TQ. look up tony's supra or mibrums 7m dragster. the dragster is 1300+hp. have yet to see a 1jz anywhere near those numbers.
