Homosexuality is not always natural. The debate is whether it's a choice or if they're born that way or if they involuntarily become that way. It's all of those, and we need to understand that. Some people are born that way. The rainbow flag was never intended to be a symbol of hate. The confederate flag, like the nazi flag, does represent hate to a lot of people. Its a reminder of slavery. The Author mentioned seeing a starving Father & Son. The Father found a little piece of bread and the Son attempted to steal it from Him. They fought over it and eventually the Son killed the Father... All for a tiny piece of bread. When survival mode kicks in, it seems our humanity takes a backseat sometimes.

The rainbow flag was never intended to be a symbol of hate. The confederate flag, like the nazi flag, does represent hate to a lot of people. Its a reminder of slavery. If the idea that a flag is just a flag were true, we'd only have to settle on one flag to represent everyone. The rainbow flag already sort of does that. Its different colors represent diversity. So whats so offensive about it?

Now morality on the other hand is something Humans have and Animals do not... We have the ability to decide what is moral and what is not. @Hammergunshipping You'd be surprised at what people are "willing" to do in certain instances. I remember reading a survivor's story of the Holocaust one time. The Author mentioned seeing a starving Father & Son. The Father found a little piece of bread and the Son attempted to steal it from Him. They fought over it and eventually the Son killed the Father... All for a tiny piece of bread. When survival mode kicks in, it seems our humanity takes a backseat sometimes.

The area in Michigan in which this took place was one of the hubs for the KKK. Symbols take on different meanings in different contexts- in this case, the confederate flag has been used to directly symbolize the tenets of the KKK movement. You should watch the rest of the videos from the boy's speech and the rest of the hearing.

I'm not questioning your intelligence, but the symbol takes on more meaning due to the school's history. I learned about this from following the recent case. Another teacher at the school discussed receiving personal threats from students and KKK members at the height of the movement.
I respect your right to an opinion, but let's separate opinions and facts. You should also consider using correct spelling and grammar to communicate clearly and encourage people to take you seriously.
