  • I suffer from insomnia it's about 11 right now where I am (in Australia) and I'm not even tired. My whole family Is asleep apart from me :( but it helps when making vid cause I can stay up all night working on them.

    The thing I use to help me sleep is listen to either really slow meaningful music that strikes a chord with you or super Loud music. Also, I do alot of writing so try writing random little stories, just to spite you when you have a good idea you will fall straight to sleep :( you c

  • I am the same way except it happens to me like every night. :( It used to be really bad and then I started listening to my ipod to help get my mind off things. That or I make up little stories that doesnt take much thought to think about and usually I fall asleep/

  • Under any circumstances do not drink pop (caffeine drinks) within an hour, do not eat within an hour, and don't use electronics or bright lighted things. Try reading or thinking about something that makes you happy. I think about my favorite beach in Michigan. Hope I helped! :)

  • I happens to me and this is my first year in architecure college, it's a hard work , that never ends, there are unfair biased teachers ( there are some of them who give marks randomly they don't even look at the exam sheets) ,there's that epic architecture problem: "the fricking ideas shortage" that deprives you from sleep , there's those 8 other tough subjects we study apart from conceiving spaces , briefly architecture college is like hell (and you study for more than 6 years) ,

  • @taysanichino well this is to say that you're not alone Joey, stress is everywhere, you must fight it , every time you have a negative thought try to forget about it , think about something that makes you smile, otherwise it gets harder and you start think about a lot of stuffs , you get confused and that's what makes people stress out , when the sun sets , watch a film , call a friend, go on the internet listen to music dance in your room.. :) !! never think about stressful stuffs at night !

  • i have severe sleeping problems. Theres a non prescription pill, thats all natural called melatonin. It helps your body naturally relax... its amazing! Ask your doctor about it. Another trick is working out... and being active all day cuz that will wear you out. drink natural herbal teas... and if u like to read then u should do that every night before you go to sleep because it takes you mind off things. When all else fails... i sometimes count sheep too. It honestly works for me (:

    But what I do to help me fall asleep is just watch YouTube, listen to some music, or just drink hot coco or warm milk.

  • Omg,I'm not kidding right now..Few days after you posted this video i had this..and didn't sleep for almost 60 hours..I'm not joking..And i was justHYPER and HYPWER andcouldn't sleep. But, finally i went, and like drank hot tea, and a lot of sweets that got me all hyper, and then i fell asleep because everyone knows. Sugar gets you hyper but then you just go "down" Lol so, I fell asleep like that. No joke xD

  • I'm not sure whether this is sold in the United States or not, but neo-citrus is really good. It's a lemon powder you put into tea and it's meant to help people feel sleepy when they're sick. It's not something you should take every day though, but it works instantly. Last month I had to take some because I couldn't sleep in fear of exams.

  • The water that comes out of your tap undergoes far more scrutinizing to pass standards that what the bottled variety does. In fact 65% of all bottled water in the US is sourced by the mains (ie it's tap water) that they filter.

    Also consider transference? That bottle could've been handled by someone with the flu or didn't wash their hands to well. You would've touched money to buy it & that itself has traces of bacteria strains.

  • I have insomnia and I listen to music to get to sleep. It really does work. If I don't listen to music I can't get to sleep.

  • What I'm going to tell you is really weird.

    Every night I start imagining stories, like if they were movies. I actually imagine people talking or doing something. I do it for 7 years now and it helps me. When I realized that it worked, I started actually "creating" my own "movies". And I start imagining them while I brush my teeth and open my bed, etc. Then, when I get to bed I fall asleep in 2 minutes or less.

    It works for me! I hope it works for you, too :D

  • When I can't sleep, I think about people I love. Like my friends, my family and I think about stuff we did together. For me, this always works. I don't know why but it just does. Try it, it can't hurt!

  • If you have a lot of things on your mind...try writing them down. You could write them in a journal or even just make a list. This may sound weird but I also like to day dream when I'm trying to get to sleep...think about a place you really want to go and dream about yourself there. It sounds weird...I know! But it works! It will relax you and calm your mind down. lol! Good luck!

  • i kno how u feel i have the same thing the only thing i love about it kinda is i dont get tired the next day if i dont sleep at all.does that happen to you? and i havent found a cure for my problem meaning i havent found a way to make me sleep also it only sucks when im tired and i cant fall asleep.

  • What I do when I can't get much sleep, I go down stairs get a glass of milk (3/4 full) and heat it up for 30-45 seconds. Also, when I start stressing right before bed, I get my ipod, put the volume on the one white square, put both ear buds in, and listen to that cuz I know I always will sing (or mentally sing) along with the songs that I know so I would suggest making a "sleeping" playlist with songs you think will help. :)

  • @puppydogz186 Also, go to your happy place, a place that's relaxing. My happy place is a nice warm place on a beach with soft sand and the water's calm and the seagulls are crowing as they fly by and it's on me. I also do that when I can't sleep because of stress. Your happy place should almost always get rid of the stress right then and there. Also with stress, I just tell my self, "It doesn't really matter" and that makes me feel SOOOO much better.   • @puppydogz186 But what ever you do DON'T TAKE SLEEPING PILLS!!! You can get addicted to them and you'll feel like you NEED to take them. Once in a while they're fine but not every night. Sleeping pills are also strong. Strong enough to kill someone for suicide purposes. Be careful with sleeping pills if you do decide to try them.

  • there is only one advise: take one pill of Zolpidem (I guess it's called ambien in your country not sure). and you will sleep. it's not very addictive like others because it's a mpolecule that is not clearly a benzodiazepine. Also you could try some very light stuff like passiflore ( plant) to reduce stress at bed time.

  • Drink something warm before bed. (For christ's sake, don't drink coffee or tea). Then make your room as dark as possible. Curl up in the covers and close your eyes. STOP all thoughts. It takes discipline, but you have to knock out any bad thought (or good thought) keeping you awake. Try thinking of people sleeping. That helps.

  • i have insomnia! I can go without sleep for a week or two. It's awesome sometimes, but at the same time it really sucks. I usually take a warm bath and just watch videos or movies or something until I fall asleep.
