You can be involved in major story line events with a NPC but as soon as you start a different quest chain with that same NPC they act like they are meeting you for the first time. I mostly agree with your review. I love this game and can't stop playing it, but it still isn't perfect in my opinion. Sometimes the animations can still look a little awkward and rough, especially with the dragons. Game can still glitch, though this is expected considering the mass of the game, and is much better than Oblivion. Textures of different surfaces such as rocks look a little rough and pixelated up close. Enemy level scaling is still ridiculous, and characters still look awkward.
I LOVE Skyrim but i have an idea. If you have ever played Red Dead Redemption multi player, you know its the same world but just achievements and challenges to keep you occupied. This kind of multi player in Skyrim would be simply extraordinary and I'm sure would have been added but with all this detail and open space, probably very difficult to succeed.
You should also talk about the negatives when doing a review, otherwise it seems like you are being paid by the publisher to give a near perfect review.

Cracking review really enjoyed it, big fan of the elder scrolls games as they are the truest rpgs around, yes theres some bugs, but what game doesnt have some, but the worlds bethesda create are so alive and a pleasure to explore. I try not to buy games as they are released as most games dont give me value for money but TES always gives me value, after 600+ hours in oblivion, i am sure I will get the same if not more from skyrim.

Too bad the texture quality is abysmal and the PC interface sucks. I've actually stopped playing and am waiting for these to get modded. However, once there and the various bugs are fixed, it will truly be a great game.

Even though there are some bugs with Skyrim, no game is perfect. The "amazing" Battlefield has a lot of bugs and glitches and Modern Warfare 3 has bugs and glitches too and so will every game that comes out, No game is perfect, but Skyrim is nearly one.

Fool, you cannot kill M'aiq the Lier, he is a god who is traveling around the world and speeds his wisdom to the people. Skyrim is 200 years after Oblvion so...Am I wrong?
It is really on of the best games ever. but there are ofcourse always problems :) The npcs are lacking gestures... Their arms just lie slack down their sides.
It is a small problem though and doesn't ruin the game. 4.5/5 :D
@Sideshockz In my opinion NOTHING should EVER get a perfect score, EVER. No matter how great it may be there is always room for improvement. The score is fair and if someone won't buy this because it didn't get a perfect score then they have more issues than simply being able to choose games.

9.8? Completely overrated. You failed to mention the glitches and bugs which consistently bombard you when playing. Sometimes the lip syncing is off with some of the characters. The game also contains rough edges and poor textures. Sometimes fighting dragons can be a little repetitive - because they use the same attacks and behaviors. It's an excellent edition to the Elder Scrolls series, but it's far from a perfect game.

hey gamers, im wondering if Skyrim is for me..the only RPG ive played is FO3, which i found boring after completing the main quests, plus everything was dull and scenery was repetative. also, being newish to RPG, will i be dying a lot since my character is weak at the start, like it was in FO3? thanks

9.8? Completely overrated. You failed to mention the glitches and bugs which consistently bombard you when playing. Sometimes the lip syncing is off with some of the characters. The game also contains rough edges and poor textures. Sometimes fighting dragons can be a little repetitive - because they use the same attacks and behaviors. It's an excellent edition to the Elder Scrolls series, but it's far from a perfect game.
