@TheCscosta The reason his sounds like this is because it probably cost at least 2,000 euros. My cello cost about 4,00 euros, but that isn't including the bow and case - and I need to get a new one this year before college! You get what you pay for!

using more of the lower half of the bow will help you get the "in the string" sound you want. perhaps you're _trying_ to accelerate, but it seems like you're just unintentionally rushing like crazy! you built up a little dynamically on the last 16th note run, but it died down on that last out-of-tune shift. i think you're skilled enough to do a little more with the dynamics there, and to get that shift!
just a few tips, but overall a very good performance - good job!
there were a couple intonation issues in the first movement. also make sure not to gyp the eighth notes, instead use them to move the phrase forward into the next dotted quarter. perhaps it's just the recording but it seems like you didn't make much of the dynamics. bring out the cadenza with more gusto.
Beautiful playing! I especially loved the first movement.
One thing you could improve on: in the second movement, try to use the bottom half of your bow more. I do this a lot too and a fellow viola player of mine suggested I practice with a sock on my bow (as unconventional as this may be, it actually works!!! Except you can choose to be more civil to your instrument and use a plastic bag instead).
You could be more fluid with the right hand.Spread the bow more and think of going with gravity.Fix that flat tense pinky finger on the bow. That is keeping your wrist and fingers from working properly.
Also, what's wrong with ending the last phrase in third position? It sounds better than that 1, 0 trill.
I played this for NYSSMA and got an 84 :)

The sound that you produce from your viola is quite good..and a very large tone too!
I would suggest though to beeter this piece by adding more fluidness and musicality in some parts.
