I know the thought is awful but I'd rather go that way than having to suffer the way through it. Again I'm so sorry for your loss. I feel your pain, I had to put my 14 yr old Dalmatian down 4 years ago. She was the best pet I ever had ! Her name was Angel and shes still a Angel. I miss her dearly but she was suffering too, just like your. She had lost her eye sight and hearing and could not walk no longer. It just hurt me so bad to see her suffer and it wasnt fair for her to have to live in pain. My heart goes out to anybody that has to experience this.
If I had to spend $50,000 to get dog any surgery thats what i'm gonna do. My dog is like a son to me, I would amputate my own legs if I had to for him. He is truly a gift from God. You cant just abandon such a loyal friend in their time of weakness and despair. You cant find loyalty like that in another person so anyone who has a dog can tell you that its a special bond words cant describe.
RIP to this loyal friend for life and all the other great creatures who have had to be put down.

i am so sorry for your loss,i feel you,my dog shadow died too a couple years ago and she was 11.we had to put her to sleep because she was very sick and she had a eye tumor and my cat uma died also over a year ago and she was 18 but we didn't put her to sleep,she died on her own.

It is really good to post things like this to deal with your grief and to help your loved one live on. Putting an animal down is the hardest thing to do...I did it because my dog had cancer. I miss him every day of my life, but I know that nothing lives forever and that he had a good life.
my cat 'bunny' was euthanaised last friday due to cancer of the nose. i loved home more than anything. I carried him, no cage, to car. We got to vet and they took himout back to put a catheda in his left arm. I held him over my shoulder and he nestled his head into my neck after balling my eyes out i gave the ok. The barbituate (sleeping medicine) was administered and Bunny relaxed aka flopped in my arms and eyes dialated. He passed in no pain and took 4 seconds and vet checked heart to confirm
When I had to put my collie down after 16 years, I got the vet to visit the house where she stayed with us for two hours while I just stroked my collie on my lap, thinking of the life we shared. When it finally happened, the only way I can describe it was beautiful, no dramatic sigh, no yelping, no flinching, just her looking at me for the last time before closing her eyes and going to sleep. It hurts but is was right, much love for Fudge and all those who have moved on, brilliant video
I lost my lab mix on 10/24 due to cancer. It was very aggressive, less than 4 months from time of diagnosis to death. We tried different chemo, holistic medicine, acupuncture and diet changes...nothing. I too never thought the day would come. On his good days, I wanted to believe we had lots more time, on his bad days, which became more frequent, I prayed for a miracle. Thank god you were there with him until the end. He was surrounded by his people and felt your love. Sorry for your loss.
I lost my cat "Bear" last Wednesday, he was in the same shape Fudge was in before I took him to the vet. He only drank water for several days and he also died with his eyes open. It was peaceful, but I sure do miss the little fella and so does my other cat "Sparky". R.I.P. Bear and Fudge in pet heaven now.

Seeing Fudge on the vet table takes me back seeing my dog Chester being put to sleep. I remember he was looking at me as he was being injected. It was so hard, but at least he knew I was there for him. You gave Fudge a long, happy, fulfilled life. Don't focus on the sadness, but remember that you were his best friend. You made each other happy :*)

I feel your pain. I was not keen on putting a dog to sleep, but after I watched my first dog die in our living room (she didn't suffer thankfully, just went to sleep), I couldn't do it a second time. My second time I took the dog, myself, because my wife and kid couldn't handle going, and cried the whole way. I know, though, he didn't suffer and was happy. He liked our vet and his last thoughts were happy as he was being petted and hugged.
It is the toughest thing in the world putting a loved companion to sleep. I have been there and it was the sadest moment in my life. But to let him suffer would have been selfish, But it is still so hard. :(..

my cat 'bunny' was euthanaised last friday due to cancer of the nose. i loved home more than anything. I carried him, no cage, to car. We got to vet and they took himout back to put a catheda in his left arm. I held him over my shoulder and he nestled his head into my neck after balling my eyes out i gave the ok. The barbituate (sleeping medicine) was administered and Bunny relaxed aka flopped in my arms and eyes dialated. He passed in no pain and took 4 seconds and vet checked heart to confirm

When I had to put my collie down after 16 years, I got the vet to visit the house where she stayed with us for two hours while I just stroked my collie on my lap, thinking of the life we shared. When it finally happened, the only way I can describe it was beautiful, no dramatic sigh, no yelping, no flinching, just her looking at me for the last time before closing her eyes and going to sleep. It hurts but is was right, much love for Fudge and all those who have moved on, brilliant video

I lost my lab mix on 10/24 due to cancer. It was very aggressive, less than 4 months from time of diagnosis to death. We tried different chemo, holistic medicine, acupuncture and diet changes...nothing. I too never thought the day would come. On his good days, I wanted to believe we had lots more time, on his bad days, which became more frequent, I prayed for a miracle. Thank god you were there with him until the end. He was surrounded by his people and felt your love. Sorry for your loss.

I lost my cat "Bear" last Wednesday, he was in the same shape Fudge was in before I took him to the vet. He only drank water for several days and he also died with his eyes open. It was peaceful, but I sure do miss the little fella and so does my other cat "Sparky". R.I.P. Bear and Fudge in pet heaven now.

This vid made me cry ... Poor dog, and poor you. I lost mine, 2 month ago. Was just 4 years old, full of live and love, same kind and size of dog than yours. He got a bloody virus, could not do anything. He died in arms at the vet. Like you, I thought that this day would never come. I just miss him so much !

Seeing Fudge on the vet table takes me back seeing my dog Chester being put to sleep. I remember he was looking at me as he was being injected. It was so hard, but at least he knew I was there for him. You gave Fudge a long, happy, fulfilled life. Don't focus on the sadness, but remember that you were his best friend. You made each other happy :*)

thats the sad thing about having pets you get used to them and when you see them in pain and suffering its really hard and also when you decided to put them to sleep its harder cuz they just take them away from you in the vets room and thats it u never see them again it happened to my siamese cat we had to put her down they came in and said ok were ready to take her and they did they took her and god only knows what she felt or experienced or saw when they injected her

I feel your pain. I was not keen on putting a dog to sleep, but after I watched my first dog die in our living room (she didn't suffer thankfully, just went to sleep), I couldn't do it a second time. My second time I took the dog, myself, because my wife and kid couldn't handle going, and cried the whole way. I know, though, he didn't suffer and was happy. He liked our vet and his last thoughts were happy as he was being petted and hugged.

What a fine tribute to Fudge; you did the right thing, of course; I could see he was suffering. My condolences; I had to euthanize my Peanut Aug.3, 2011...he was just 1 month shy of being 17...RIP Fudge and Peanut :(

hey man i respect this video to the fullest. i lost my dog yesterday. i had him 15 years and theres nothing in the world that replace a mans bestfriend, my dogs back legs were also giving out, wasnt eating, and very neausiated. i woke yesterday morning finding him gasping for air. he took his last breath in my arms. i know how you feel.

I had a 14 year old German Shepherd that we had to put down because his hips were so far gone he could no longer get up AT ALL, with or without help.
