    Thank you so much.

As we say in Manchester, it's mustard!

  • @Bestbhoy Thanks for your comments.

  • I love the counterpoint you have put into this. That makes the interpretation really good! Thanks!

  • it's a little surprising to me to learn that Stein Song is known on the other side of the pond. Anyway, this is an enjoyable performance and a nice introduction to we yanks of a fine old song from our wonderful mother country.

  • Many thanks for taking the time to comment.

    Best Regards,

  • this reminds me of when I was a little kid, my dad loved JS, we used to listen to the records, my dad was from Buckhaven. thank you!

  • very well played thankyou

  • Sonola1 Thank you for your wonderful playing. I can picture the wonderful lyrics as well. 'To the girls who will love us one day'. What a toast! What a tune. Great playing.

And thank you JoJa590 I didn't know that the Pars had a connection with the University of Maine's Stein Song.

Between you both you've made my day.

  • Many thanks for your kind comments, I'm pleased you enjoyed it.

Indeed, what a toast, what a tune. They don't make them like that any more!

  • Really enjoyed your playing.

The Stein Song takes me back to the early 60's when it was played immed after Dunfermline Athletic home games. Different pronunciations but who cares?

I have downloaded the video, extracted the audio, removed "Blighty" and spliced the two Stein parts together. I hope you don't mind.

It's possible other Dunfermline fans may want a copy of the spliced audio. Are you OK with my passing it on? If so, how would you like your playing to be attributed?

    .

    Jo

  • Hello, Jo.

Thanks for your kind comments. I'm pleased you enjoyed my playing, and that Stein Song evoked what I hope are many happy memories.

As for your cutting & splicing etc, I don't mind at all. In fact, I'd be interested to see/hear it myself.

By all means, pass it on to whoever else you think would like to hear it. Attribute the playing to Geoff West (my name), based on a Jimmy Shand arrangement, and please let them know of my YouTube account (sonola1).

    My best Wishes,

    Geoff

  • Very pleasant to listen!

    Bravo
