There were some personality clashes, you know..doesn't nessesarilly imply that one of them was nasty and ignorant..some maybe let drugs get the best of them sometimes, axl could have maybe handled his demons better at some point or the other, they all made mistakes as humans do. Izzy left peacefully, remaining friends with all, he just wnated to go back to playin acoustic guitar on the floor, you know? It's a brotherly fight.

Back when I use to smoke I used them for health reasons which was probably Axl's intent as well considering how into holistic medicine at the time.

It basically works like a water bong does for pot. The water inside removes alot of the carcinogens in the smoke. It makes them taste a little different too, but I can't remember in what way.
