Kim's Sam is more believable. Danniella's Sam was good in the 90s but her return in 2009 was poor, the characters development was ruined and Danniella is not that good an actor. Kim will always be Sam to me and I think she could be back soon. 2002-2005 will always be with me for years I remember it just like yesterday.

sam's character didn't become sophisticated when kim took over on her return shhe was a pole dancer. it was in 2003 she changed because other than billy there were no other mitchells around and she was running the mitchell empire but when she lost all the buisnesses and left she became her old self again x

@gracecage7 Completely agree. I have issues with how they totally changed the character; in her behaviour, the way she spoke, her lines, the way she dresses and was with others. I liked how when Kim played Sam the character really developed and then Danniella came back as Sam last year and she was this tarty bitch who were expected to feel no sympathy for. I hope if the new producer is thinking of bringing Sam back he sorts it out. I'd love Kim Medcalf to come back as Sam.

Obviously the make-up artists and whatever are trying to portray Sam Mitchell as a washed-up tanorexic. And it's working! But you're right, Daniella looks better in real life.

And actually, Kim Medcalf's Sam had one more night stands in 3 years than Danniella's had in 10 years, so your point isn't exactly very true. They were the same character deep down, just Kim Medcalf had a different accent and slightly different way of playing the part.

I personally am glad we have Danniella back. At the 20th Anniversary party, to which Danniella was invited, Kim was a bitch to her, rubbing Danniella's nose in it that she had the part. Not nice.

I'd much rather Kim Medcalf was returning and I do find it a little too distracting away from the character that Daniella will be playing the role again, and that it seems like they're trying to recreate the character she was about 10 years ago. I don't get it and it's going to be confusing and surely unbelievable.

Kim's version of Sam seemed to have grown up a lot and was quite classy. Seems like they're taking a step back and making the new Sam a party animal.
