To be clear: It sucks for anyone to be in prison, and I am for anything that turns people away from crime and improves their quality of life, but does it have to be a women thing? Can't it be a people thing?

I find this video interesting in that it questions certain social conditions, but it is not addressing ownership of the crimes. The law is the law. I see females as equals and in context, certain females demonstrate aggessive tendencies as much the guys. As an educator, I see certain females of color react way more out of control just for being asked to abide by simple rules. Then when called on the carpet, use the race card or harassment card like its a game of monopoly. Where is the fairness?

there are no excuses for that stuff...there are people that have experienced all those things and still never commited a crime. And if you cant afford a family you shouldnt be making babies in the first place. I do think prostitution should become legal though, it would solve a lot of the problems surrounding it...abuse, human trafficking, giving cops time to chase real criminals..etc

More woman are going to prison now then before because in recent years men and woman have become equal in the eyes of the law. In the 1950's it was nearly impossible for a woman to go to jail for murder or any other serious offences beacause it was public opinion that woman lacked the ability to do such a thing. The increase in female inmates is because of femmenist groups the gave woman the rights and responsibilities of men, it has nothing to do with race.
