this the absolutely the best version of this song ever to be posted on youtube ever. thanks for posting. i have this album and the cd and they both sound realy great. the doors are still way ahead of there time.
@420megadeth true man, roddy wasnt valued as one of the great guitarists of his time- but theres a reason he wasnt. Other guitarists provided the backbone of each song; they made the foundation for each peice of music. Look at the work of hendrix, jimmy page, angus young, eddie van halen, etc. and you will see why they were (are) considered the best. Robby's guitar work was the icing on the cake, not the bottom layer. Not that he isnt great, he just performed a different role for the Doors
@untilillbedead 1) Crowley was NOT a satanist, at all. Read a little more about what the man wrote before jumping to conclusions. This nonsense of the "father of satanism" has become as silly as the people profusing it.
2) Jim knew, liked and admired Crowley.
3) If you believe all the press write (or all it is written in the web, btw) you are probably much better dead.
@Amioran i know jim liked him...i like crowly too he was brilliant...he wasnt a satanist in the common concept of the word...luciferian is more acurate,a freemacon, illuminati.however you would like to call it.their agenda for us is not exactly positive.and crowly had alot of sides in a personalty.and i dont belive evereyything i here in the media..infact i probably know much more about crowly than you do...he was infact involved with lucifrian cults like telma and the famous freemacons
@Amioran i can qute what crowly and other freemacons has said about their god(lucifer) but i let you do the research yourself.i just wanted to say that i liked reading crowly works i got nothing against the person but he had satanic blifes that he hide beanth his ideas of freedom.learn more read more.and dont attack people that yyou think they are worng, ask them to explain first.
@untilillbedead I repeat: Crowley didn't have satanic beliefs. He had no "God" (in the sense you give to the term) and he didn't hide anything at all behind words (in fact it is just because he didn't that people as you understand anything at all if they cannot go beyond the terms or don't have a full picture of all he wrote). You say you know more than me on him, but judging from what you write it doesn't seem, at all. As I said, read less idiocies (as Illuminati) and do a serious research.
@zodiac09 dude, alcoholics are organized and go to meetings. lets go out in this car with these people and get f u u u u c k ed up... and you can learn to be a real drunk like jim, baudelaire, rimbaud, verlaine, charles bukowski, richard brautigan, john bonham, ernest hemmingway, jack kerouac, keith moon, william faulkner, f,. scott fitzgerald, ambrose bierce, jack london, sinclair lewis, edgar allen poe, dylan thomas, john steinbeck, and nameless thousands, including yours truly, ziggity wingbat
@ iamadgod. how can the end be near if the future is uncertain?
I admit, your question is tricky and it could be discussed from several perspectives and the next is my own
JM referred to the end as the culmination point of living existence of each one of us, from a biological perspective, which is independent of the future as a tense form. I mean, your end is near (day after day) because your biological time is approaching to the depletion.
ESTE PA MI UNO DE LOS MEJROES TEMAS DE THE DOORS!! ESTA VERSION NUNCA LA HABIA ESCUCHADO Y TA TERRIBLE BUENAA!! SI HUIBESEE SONADO LA HARMONICAA TB YA HUBIERA SIO LA PATAAAAA, HUBIERA SIO UNA DE LAS MEJORES ACTUAICONES EN VIVO DE UN GRUPO
love the ending how Jim gets this girl to confess her religion or belief thingy and when he admits he doesnt believe in it she tries to buy her way out of it too.
@darrell1973day dude i was hoping for some sort of clever responce about that line but obviously your a pretty rad dude who knows whats up im sorry im a closed minded drone in a rut maybe one day i can better myself and be half as much of a sweet bro as you (or whats this maybe you need an imagination because you just listen and think its so cool instead of thinking)
