@ALPHAandOMEGA44 The alkalinity depends upon the mineral content of a substance. The dominant ratio of either acidic minerals (sulfur, phosphorus, etc) or alkaline minerals (magnesium, calcium, etc) will tell the tale of where it ranks. Generally, the acids and bases of salt are not very strong at all, so it's generally considered to be neutral. Hope that helps!
