True, strict capitalism will resolve problems like homelessness, jobs, and fair wages and benefits. In an environment when companies become monopolies or oligopolies, entrepreneurs will try to lure employees away from them by offering prospective employees better wages and better benefits like medical coverage. If that was the environment and I wanted to break out and start my own business, that's what I would do!! It's basic supply and demand philosophy as applied to employment markets.
@laroger0 A couple issues. Free market fundamentalism assumes labor responds to supply and demand properly. In fact, rather than supply decreasing when labor is underpaid, supply actually increases. Thus any explanation requiring supply and demand theory cannot explain labor.
Second, efficiency does not equate to reward. In many markets, bargaining power trumps production efficiency, and the free market is what enables that.

They changed the tax bracket this year. Check it out. It puts me in a higher tax bracket thus increasing the amount I owe. Just because you heard the dems say they decreased taxes doesn't mean when you ask actual people that they had their taxes decreased. They play tricks so they can say one thing and do another. Like decreasing the amount people in a certain tax bracket owes but decreasing the amount of people in that tax bracket. Don't feel bad. Some people are easily fooled.

It's a PDF file with a complete list of tax tables from 1913 all the way to 2010. As you can see the tax rates have not changed. However some people are paying less taxes in 2010 because the tax brackets have changed.
@pokermaster54 Good advice. Go back and look at that chart again. Every year since Bush enacted real tax cuts starting in 2002 the tax brackets have been changed by the same amount. Every year the amount you need to earn to fall into a certain bracket is increased to keep up with inflation. He also tried to sell me on the idea that the current tea party is grass roots and NOT infiltrated by republicans.

They changed the tax bracket this year. Check it out. It puts me in a higher tax bracket thus increasing the amount I owe. Just because you heard the dems say they decreased taxes doesn't mean when you ask actual people that they had their taxes decreased. They play tricks so they can say one thing and do another. Like decreasing the amount people in a certain tax bracket owes but decreasing the amount of people in that tax bracket. Don't feel bad. Some people are easily fooled.

It's a PDF file with a complete list of tax tables from 1913 all the way to 2010. As you can see the tax rates have not changed. However some people are paying less taxes in 2010 because the tax brackets have changed.

@pokermaster54 Good advice. Go back and look at that chart again. Every year since Bush enacted real tax cuts starting in 2002 the tax brackets have been changed by the same amount. Every year the amount you need to earn to fall into a certain bracket is increased to keep up with inflation. Obama has not enacted a tax cut any different from the past decade yet he touts that he has. Unless you believe the cpi (i'm sure you do) then the tax cuts you see are artificial.

@RuflessRecords Due to his libertarian values, Dr. Paul's economic principals will likely appeal to those on the "right," while his social views on personal liberties and foreign policy will appeal to those on the "left." Usually when a network has him on the air, they want to talk about one or the other. I wouldn't consider it "sucking up" since he has been consistent and clear about all of his positions.

Ron Paul is the modern day Goldwater. Truth to power. He has built a very strong understanding of his core ideas and practiced them for decades. He has now ignited a grass roots movement that will define the next 20 years of conservatism. It is amazing what he has accomplished through hard work, sticking to his principles, and perservering through years of mockery by the political establishment that refused to engage in the financial issues that he has championed and now are front and center

@DCUPtoejuice this is so true, and believe it or not people are paniking, i.e. sarah palin inventing the tea party movement....i fucking hate her ron paul has been the leader of the real tea party her tea party is not going to make any difference in the world!

don't tell the masses of people that. Paul should've quit the Republican Party two years ago when they clowned his ass at the convention. I mean I dress like a woman Gayliani oops I mean Guliani got more attention than Paul. There is no way in hell Paul should've been reduced to having a convention across the street no way.
