Yeah, that's what happened to me.

The simplest way I've found to fix it is to drag out your saves onto the desktop and wipe out minecraft completely, but then you have to reinstall all the mods but you can just take the saves and drag them back into the minecraft save folder. I still have yet to figure out if it's possible to keep mods without having them active. Perhaps creating separate minecraft.jar folders...

@MegaRobo9867 Okay I've deleted everything to do with minecraft, re-download it, create a new file. (I had no saves worth keeping) then I followed this guide, It actually works perfectly. except you may want to install a mod called toomanyitems, as it's compatible with the aether mod, but the single player commands arn't, aswell as millianaire but you could install yogbox, and just not millanaire and it should work perfectly with the aether mod. I have it now with toomany items. I Hope i helped

I need some help guys, I've installed mods before so I'm pretty sure I'm doing it right, but since I've upgraded to OSX Lion, when I open the minecraft.jar with archive utility I get a file that has a .zip icon but its called "minecraft.jar.cpgz" and if I open that I get "minecraft 2.jar". How do I get the folder?
