I've been a pianist for 5 years. I can play anything off a piece of paper, but cannot for the life of me do cross rhythms just like that; anyone have any tips?
Damn.... this is beautiful. Is there some place I can listen to more of this? I do a 2 against 3 on the djembe and recognized the pattern immediately. Wow this music is sooooooooooooo relaxing for me.
HAHA!!!! Nice nod to Willy Wonka!!!! Such a beautiful instrument. I've written a letter to Sabina and Felix. I really hope I'm honored to come see them some day. Wow.
It seems the intention from the makers is for each player to find their own connection with their Hang. So my path has been to try to practice simple hand drumming coordination and rhythm exercises to connect my hands to my brain. Then the next step for me has been to find the connection to how the Hang makes sound happen. Listen carefully and find the lighter touch as you go.
I used a Canon S2 with the internal mic. Sadly, upon review I think the camera was too close as there is some distortion. I need to work out a good distance, and also look into a real mic.

Thank you for the kind words. That is my intention. I'm new to all of this and I'm trying to capture what I've been learning in a helpful way.
