  • Holy Jeebus Epilepsy!!

  • this game had a kickass soundtrack

  • @animedrawer69 yes indeed! Short but kickass

  • Oh man, the music when Major Heal is used on party in very plesant ^^.

  • Wait.. This game has an ending? xD

  • Very good and hard game! But i hate the save system

  • Wait... I thought character names could only be 4 letters long?

  • @OzzieArcane I don't know, not on my version at least :/. But the default characters do have only 4 letters in their name.

  • I'm going to find the guy who programmed this sound for this game. And bitch slap him to the ground.

  • my first RPG i ever played.

Still have the self drawn maps.

  • LOOL, I had spend hours of searching to find the title of this old NES game.

I used to have it when I was about 9 years old, never understood fuck of it, but I liked the pictures ^^ lol the most far ive gotten was to beat 2-3 creatures I encountered :D

nice to see someone made it!!

  • 7:40 so you beat the boss, and promptly have a seizure?

  • M957 pieces of gold? Overflow fail.

  • OH MY GOD this game had an ending?? This one is worse than shining force with it's damn zoomtubes and passable walls

  • @notorioustim10 Myeah, what I hated was the fact that the game would only save 2 maps maximum so you never knew if a zoomtube was useful or just there to screw you up completly -.-. Glad I had save states to finally finish this game. Shining in the darkness was great though :/, but yeah, I like that kind of game.

  • this game was so epic, love the music.....someone should (if not done one) a guitar cover of the battle music.....this game was SO fun and really hard, never completed it....good job

  • Yeah that would be freaking nice. I don't think I've ever heard that either.

  • or just the normal music when you're moving about would be good with a guitar cover too etc, lol i like it when it says "Prepare to Die!" the game looks like it crashes when its done lol, and that dragon hits for craploads!!!

  • How could you NOT love the music? It was composed by The Fat Man (George Sanger), lord of video game audio. He's the American Koji Kondo.

  • Kind of a shame that you don't have anything to spend that 5000 GP on after killing the serpent.

  • how can you play this shit?????

  • but it's good shit

  • wanna know what i find funny? That my party has people between the ages of 11-13. Is that weird or what?

  • 4:10, WHAT THE HECK IS THAT?!!?

  • 4:10 is Davy Jones

  • Holy shit, game just goes apeshit after defeating the dragon.

I have this game for my NES console and I tried beating it but those fricking Zonetubes were annoying as shit in this game. Not because they teleported me always in to the begining of the game but because they also reseted the whole fucking map wich was really fustrating.

  • hahaha yeah. The game could actually only save the 2 last maps and the fact thay they actually forced you to backtrack made it even worst.

  • Not just that, the pasword system was just pure bullshit in that game. Not to mention, except for the random enemy encounters, everything looked exactly the same.

  • @Bastiest

All the better reason for you to hand-draw your maps on graphing paper, especially considering that the game's automap system was pretty much broken due the game's password system.

  • Is there something that is not brocken in that game?

  • I remember playing this game back in the day, wow. I would never figure out to have to walk through all those damn walls. I never got very far with this game. The only thing I remember is getting a sword at the tip of a sword on the map and that epic battle music...I'm not sure which fight music is better, the original Star Trek fight music or the Swords and Serpents one. And did you beat the dragon with like 2 hits?

  • haha but nah, it's the battle system that is weird. You only see the first part of his health. Like for example if the dragon has 500 hp, maybe you only start seeing his hp drop when he gets below 30.

  • Ah, I see. Cool.

  • I never understood the battle system, is really just bashing the A button hoping you will get a hit?

  • so thats why they made the game so hard to beat, if someone did they run the risk of a seizure. Congrats! you defeated the dragon and got out with gold and EXP, too bad your dead from the seizure! Press Start.

  • I congrantulate you! This is the greatest nostalgia game for me, it took me and my friend over 5 YEARS to complete all the mapping and hint finding for this game. I still love the game though.. You ever noticed that the dragons name is Behemoth? :,D anyways, good job! Nice to have this on youtube :3

  • ok youtube has pissed me enough with this stupid ad thing. Everyone download adblock plus free extension for firefox and install the Easy List (USA). It will block every youtube ads.

  • What the...

Your video, Swords and Serpents Path to Victory + Ending, may have audio content from Frie by Scooter that is owned or licensed by Kontor Records.

No action is required on your part. In some cases ads may appear next to your video.

wow, I understand the copyright part but not the ad part. Youtube is really gay,

  • Interesting. I just started a buncha new characters, and decided to see what was on youtube regarding S&S, thanks :)

  • Aaagghhh! seziures!

  • it's ronnie the sceleton ^^

  • That ending was made to induce siezures...I remember this game, it was fairly fun but hard.

  • Thanx, I'm so glad I never finished that game! ^_^

  • Favourita......

  • Yeah that ending is crazy... you beat the dragon, how dare you! Seizure to your brain!! Here's all your gold and stuff, another seizure upon thee!!

  • woah is that a stone chewbacca?! i only made it the 3rd level before dying or dying of boredom lol

  • This game is actually pretty awful, but when my friends and I get drunk and play a four player game (using the Nintendo Four Score!) it's a balls-ton of fun. Even though all you do is mash A if you're not party leader... :P

  • Great game! The EU cardridge I have runs at like 2/3 of the US port speed by the way.

  • woaah, I just downloaded the rom and it's true. It's awfully slow :o. The game is already not that fast, that had to be annoying. Anyway thanks, always great to see some people who also know these littles gems.

  • I love that chuck berry sounding rock bluesy lead part in the song @ 0:45

  • Nice work dude... that game is fucken difficult

  • and thanks for the seizure!

  • Why did the dragon die like in two-three hits?

  • Because the health bar is kind of weird. It shows like the 30 first hp and you can't see the rest. For example if the dragon has like 500 hp,you only start to see him lose it when he get s under 30.

  • Ah, thanks. ahaha this game is and always was strange and hard.

  • Wow...that ending sucks. Worst ending of all in my opinion is the Back to the Future ending.

Hey, how do you convert the .nsv file into AVI? I'm wanting to make some NES recordings as well. Any tutorials?

  • How do you encounter:

    the Goblin

    the Mage

    the Phantom

    the Snake

    the Axeman

    and the Wizard?

I saw you were able to encounter the Skeleton, the Golem and the Dragon, these are all the beastiary characteristics I can NEVER encounter.

  • Congrats on playing it all the way through. Your ending looked a lil better than mine did, maybe becuase i cheated. The dragon hits like a ton of bricks it looks like. Once again congrats.

  • haha sucky ending + seizure LMAO

  • Lol, "Congrats on spending three days on beating this game, here's your reward!"

    *seizure*
