  • I'm singing this song this semester for my college vocal recital this winter. im looking forward to putting on the performance!

  • I sang this for my recital back in the day. I love this!

  • Beautiful voice and renndition, praise to Jesus Christ!

  • The soprano is April Cantelo one of the finest British sopranos of the post 2nd world war generation. Later a highly distinguished singing teacher at the RNCM and RWCMD.

  • @Tenortalker thank you. she's marvellous.

  • is Messiah in Italian?

  • @najika852 No, it was written and 1st performed before Hie Majesty King Geore the III, and at the event of the Hallelujah Corus, the King Stood up, and Ever since it has been Custom to stand when that portion of the Messiah is performed.

  • i cant find a sound like this music... its soprano..

  • Thank you! This is the first thing that I listen on a newly installed computer . I like to listen to it every day! I know nothing about music, but I even like to try to sing it. When I sing it it's MY rendition!! Bless Handel's heart! This is one of my favorite renditions.

  • For this version of Rejoice, it borderlines on The Great Joan Sutherlands, It is evenly and sweetly sung and part be is taken slower. Perhaps a little slower than I like but for me it worked. After all how many of us really know what Handel truly wanted it done.

A Job well done. It would be so nice if the Company would give props to the singer.

  • This version of Rejoice Greatly drags a little bit too much for me. I don't think that is what Handel intended. The singer sounds like Felicity Lot. I stand to be corrected if I am wrong here.

  • lol number 6! I like the song too....

  • Sie singt sehr gut....wunderbar!

  • This is awesome..."The Messiah is a Timeless Masterpiece...it is truly the work of the Lord!"

  • work of humans, dont credit the wrong people.

  • @atlantis4321

No, Handel would have told you that it was a work of God and kindly admonished YOU not to credit the wrong person.

  • Handel was fat, in doubel meanings :) (im not sure if that is correct english)

  • He was kinda heavyset, but I think the other meaning you mean, is "phat". Like "cool"?

  • @Op139 Handel was Pretty Hot And Tempting (PHAT)? :-D Lol... I know what you mean.... he was phat in his own way.

  • maybe, but he was not born fat. so his spirit is still light. Therefore he can still write fast music. lol

  • @SonofDostojevskij

But his music was and is heavenly!!!!

  • @SonofDostojevskij One does not reach a certain number of years without putting on weight. He also could buy whatever he wanted.

  • Who is singing this...I like it!

  • No idea. I put in all the information I could find on these great recordings.

  • beautiful

  • Thank you!
