What Demise is hinting is why Ganondorf is in Zelda games. Ganondorf is the incarnation of Demise's hatred.

Skyward Sword is the prequel in the series and talks about how the master sword, Ganon and the LEGEND began. Demise is the demon king and wanted the triforce (made by Farore, Din, and Nayru or said to be the golden goddessess , I don't know why they're called goddesses) to take control as lord of everything but hylia (the goddess got all mortals on an outcropping of the earth with the goddess sword A.K.A the master sword, and the triforce away from Demise. Hylia then defeated him and sealed him

So Demise is reborn as Ganondorf. But does Ganondorf KNOW he is Demise? Zelda has vague memories of bein Hylia with Impa's assistance, so maybe the same applies to Ganondorf. But Ganondorf's motivations are defined as just wanting Hyrule because living in the desert is a pain in the ass. The only consistence in motivation is that they want the Triforce, and must KNOW about the Triforce. Ganondorf must have found that out from memory. Anyone got any ideas of if he knows or not?

Down B: Slams the ground for a shockwave, or rushes toward the ground to do it if in the air (OoT Ganondorf)

Up B: Flies upward and pushes his arms as he reaches top height. (OoT Ganondorf)

See, that was an easy to make special attack list. I can even do some basic smashes:

Side Smash: Steps forward with the sword and slashes an enemy, leaving purple fire on them for visual effect when hitting (TP Ganondorf)

Down Smash: Throws trident around himself in a circle (LttP Ganon)

Up Smash: Lunges trident in the air to hit above enemies (LttP Ganon)

The standard hit could actually be one of the few things that could stay as the lightning punch, or reference WW Ganondorf by doing a short combo with two swords.

@PiViews Technically he is not the first of all games since he was just made in the newest game. Also the only reason I do hate demise is because he has taken place as the main villain of the series. We only saw him for 10 minutes. He does not deserve that title. He lost in one battle, instead of maybe five, and he is the reason for all villains in the series. That is complete bullshit. I had no idea you were supposed to use the skyward strike for this battle, also before the battle even started I came to the conclusion that shield bash would be useless against a being of such pure malice so I didn't even TRY to use it, 6 attempts later & countless backflips & side jumps & I prevailed, Only to go on youtube, thinking to myself "There's no way EVERYONE had that much trouble beating him" and BAM I saw all these videos of Link using this beefed up strike n shield bash... /facepalm

I just didn't know. :\ I thought you just had to keep stocked up on potions to be able to constantly repair your shield. Yeah, I played through the entire first quest without even the slightest knowledge of the shield bash/what it was used for. badass

You know, I actually found Ghirahim to be a slightly tougher boss. I was a little let down when Demise went down without any transformation. Maybe I was just lucky, or just paranoid with my 4 bottles of healing potions++, but I really didn't get the level of dread I got from, say, the second round of the imprisoned, which was only 1 of 2 bosses I had to refight. Of course, the fact that I finally got the Hylian Shield and no longer feared wasting money on repairs probably helped my defense too..

@WiiMario035 Don't think that was a Skyward Strike though, holding a metal object up in the sky during a thunder storm. The lightning just got to Link's sword, and the Sacred Power of the blade prevented the energy from escaping. Demise's power still meant Link's couldn't Skyward Strike, but why not Lightning Strike? :D

I feel like there is a bit of confusion with Demise. His in-game character model is remarkably similar to Ganondorf, the chord progression to Ganondorf's theme is played in the cutscene preceding the boss fight, and he mentions, "An incarnation of my hatred shall ever follow your kind". The only enemy that has ever been reincarnated is Ganon. Vaati might be a reincarnation of Ghirahim, but Demise ONLY reincarnates as Ganon. Otherwise, there wouldn't be so many physical and musical cues to Ganon.
