i can see why they cut this out... it's mostly just them babbling back and forth and there isn't much of a point to it. they never gave him sound advice... it goes on for 2:40 and all that is really accomplished in the scene that is worthy of speaking of is that his friend tells him that he thinks allie is too good for him. that could've been said in a few seconds. it's just too much time wasted on dialogue that isn't accomplishing anything for the plot.
although i am mad that Finn was saying that, he is pretty much just doing what any friend would have done... nobody knew this was TRUE ACTUAL love. i guess.. lol as far as everyone else knew, this was just a summer romance
