Well I figured out how to overclock.. i got mines on 750/950... my question is if its safe to keep it overclocked like that 247 ... my max temp on that is OC is 80c on heavy load and 40c on idle.
@FrYLocK41 I keep a steady 810 1020 and my temps never really go above 80. It depends on what type of laptop you have and how good the case is at cooling the system. But i wouldn't want to run constant temps above 80c EVER. I am starting to downclock a bit so my temps stay a little more steady
@FrYLocK41 The asus n53sv is the exact same laptop that I own. It overclocks really well actually. Stick around and I'll make a tutorial vid on how to overclock!
Dude do u change the overclock in each ?What settings of overclock do u recommend?one that doesnt give high temperatures =OO cuz u change them every video =O
Hello. I have an Asus N43sn with the 540m and everytime i try to overclock the card with msi afterburner or nvidia tools, it ends up going back to stock when i open a game up.. help?
@MsPart01 A lot of people keep asking how to overclock they're graphics cards. I think I'll do a tutorial video on that subject. Stick around. Hopefully i can get something up this week.
Man I got I7 6gb DDR3 and same graph card and when i overclock it on 700,1000,1400 or something.... it isnt stable... i played battlefield 3 and league of legends... and it crashed in couple of minutes... Can you give me advice? Please
ehy one question. I've an asus notebook with your same spec and i've tried to overclock my 540m with the last nvidia system tool drivers. When i set it at 820/1610/1000 i see lots of artifacts so i've to low frequences. Is it normal? sorry for my bad english ;)
I have bought a Asus K43 S series with GT 540 M 1gb DDR3 RAM. how much did u set ur memory clock speed.
And when I set the Graphic Clock, do I do it incrementally or can I set straight to 820 / 1000 / 1610? I have read that Processor clock (shader) should be set to double of Graphic clock right?
@Fantasma25 Download the Nvidia system tools, then you can do overclocking from the Nvidia control pannel. If your using windows 7 then you can download the GPU meter widget and watch your temps just to be safe. Hope i helped :)
@SnowHydra Thanks man, I have it at 820, 1000, 1610 right now without a big rise in temperature. So i consider that a pretty safe and stable overclock for this card.
dude which software have you used.and put a video teaching how to overclock the gt 540 on notebook.please,i want do this in battlefield 3

I'm getting a laptop with the i5, 6gbs of ram and the 540m. Is there a way I could get my setup as good as yours by overclocking?

@Lolzabble No, between the i7 and i5 there isn't a noticable differance in gaming.
greg29310 6 months ago
@greg29310 false. the i7 runs games that heavily rely on "smart" computer players (strategy games) better than the i5.
