(ran into youtube post limit) Also, You seem to be dedicated to doing animation the right way, none of this flash animation tween crap. So I'd recommend you read "The Animator's survival kit" by Richard Williams. It's basically the Bible for Animators and about the only place where you can learn from an old master. Looking forward to seeing more of your work, subbed!
@EggYolk Thanks, I've got that book and a few others (like the Illusion of Life, it's fantastic!) and yeah the "animation" which is sliding cutouts about in flash is something I absolutely DESPISE. It just looks lifeless and shows no respect for the process of animation. Although Akira-quality animation will likely not be expected in the industry again, I like to aspire to be *that* good anyway.
I'm learning as much as I can from drawn animation but ultimately I'm shooting for stop motion. Thanks
Hey I saw your comment on the QAR video for Akira, and came to check out your work. Akira was the best traditional animation ever made in terms of detail lol. Don't feel so daunted, This will probably never be expected of someone in the industry again. This is some good stuff you have here, but some suggestions. You seem to move a lot of your limbs at the same time whenever your doing an action. This isn't very natural, you should try splitting up timing of movement between limbs in motion.

@cartoonmarc Stop Motion is cool too! I'm just excited whenever I meet animators who aspire to do things the right way! Keep up the good work.
