  • I dont give a crap what you all think but windows is the most hated yet its the best out on the planet it does everything and runs evertything and its stable. has its poblums yes but it does what 90% of users need it to do! and an os should never be dificult to a user EVER! Windows is the most user friendly os on the planet! has alot of problums but so does all others too nothing is perfect. Untill ubunto runs all my aps without extra junk im all windows.

  • rofl all u guys arguing over linux and windows... hackers don't need sound when they are hacking so linux doesnt need sound?!

  • @techgoofdotinfo btw this is not linux, just to be clear... this is a fre OS based on an older windows (windows nt 4 kernel)

  • I've gotten my facts straight, philipkimbrell90, and I already know that many Linux installations run with limited functionality due to there not being drivers available for an individual's hardware. Windows is convenient because there's hardly ever any work in trying to get the drivers for your hardware. Most of the times, it's already included with your computer's version of Windows that they packaged with the pc. This is something that doesn't always happen with Linux.

  • @selfReferencinDox - That's pretty weird, I have everything working fine on my laptop except for Bluetooth, which I don't use anyway.

  • @cyborgtroy

There's nothing weird about that. I just said that Linux doesn't always work for everyone. I have Linux work fine on my computer, too. If you have a big brand computer, then it's easy to find support for your machine. But, it's still a well known fact that Linux has less portability than Windows. It's not that Windows is the shit and Linux is just absolutely shitty, but each has its own qualities that the other doesn't have. That's all.

  • @selfReferencinDox How the fuck do you figure windows is more portable? Please explain because in my experience windows is way less portable.I mean is it portable at all?I dont think so at least not without jumping through hoops to make it portable.

  • @selfReferencinDox Man you are a total idiot Ubuntu has more plug and play devices than windows ever had you always have to install a driver in windows i don't care what the device is that's a fact.Ubuntu most everything is plug and play no driver to download no internet connection is needed even.

  • @slimmdogg420 That is not true, I have had many devices (and I mean MANY) that don't have drivers on Ubuntu and do on Windows. Often times these things are the wireless card. Even after installing a generic driver for the cards, they sometimes still don't work.

The driver support is amazingly good, but most manufacturers cater to Windows and not Linux (Lexmark doesn't even work on Linux at all) and support for Linux is always grasping and never really catching up with these poor manufacturers.

  • @TheWater911 That is not even what I said I said plug and play that is you just plug it in and it works.Windows everything you plug in needs a driver.

  • I've gotten my facts straight. And, I already know that just because Linux might work for you doesn't necessarily mean that it'll work for everyone's computer the same way. Unlike Windows, many times a Linux installation will work with limited functionality due to there being no Linux version of your sound card, or you simply don't have a driver for your sound card and you can't go download one because your nic doesn't work with your current Linux installation, etc.

Linux can be a real pain!

  • @selfReferencinDox uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmm windowsw works with everything cause they FORCED the pc makers to use MOST if not ALL components that work with WINDOWS... again... get ur facts straight... and furethor more, get out of our youtube. lol

  • where did you get the drivers for the hardware????

  • What, no sound? Just like Linux!

  • @selfReferencinDox I'm under Linux and I get full 100% Sound just like Windows. Make sure you get your facts straight before you talk .

  • @philipkimbrell90 The guy or gal is an idiot just forget anything that tard said.

  • go and buy a gamecame

  • so whats the update sam I am ?

  • reactos is like, faster than most windows oses, but not that stable yet. If you have an OpenGL game I'm sure it'll run well. Directx will have to wait till ReactX is more complete.

  • hows the performance is it faster or smoother then windows xp?

  • noob

  • when React OS can play City of Heroes, then I will try it.

  • наркоманы блять!

  • LMAO.Lol solo 1 vs 1????

  • megalol

  • dude u should have pull out your aimbot jk lol

I got the newest version of react os and its very buggy still so i dont use it yet

  • Wait for the beta 0.5 . On the site they said currently its not recommended for everyday use :) I can't wait hehe

  • How many years? lol

  • Patience makes perfect was it? :P

No pain no gain hehe Though if they moved a little faster it wouldn't hurt :)

  • If they moved I would be happy.

  • Just because they don't show all their movement on their website it doesn't mean they aren't moving :) Remember, these guys have no big money backing them!

  • Lol I know I wish they did. But for now Wine is fine.

  • You are obviously an idiot. The point of this video is to show UT running in ReactOS, not to teach you how to play UT. All I have to say is IDIOT.

  • Will Reactos run all my old viruses?

  • LOL

  • there are chances that ReactOS will be incompatible to many of the viruses. LOL

  • lol i just read a comment by the reactos team saying that one of their major acomplishments was getting viruses to run on it lol (not because they want them to ofcourse but it means that it is a lot more compatible with other programs

  • @cyborgtroy If u try really hard i guess so :)

  • @cyborgtroy Are they supported in windows?LMAO then yes!!!

  • does the sound work?

  • No, sound does not work yet. However work is still being done to get sound working in ReactOS.

  • I'm surprised you didn't get a BSoD while playing. Installing Firefox crashes the damned thing.

  • Try running 1.5, not 2.0. I haven't had a BSoD yet.

  • un clasico

  • this was my favorite game when i was about 7

  • so was this unreal tournament 1? cause i remember this version and dont know what it was called...(havnt played in like 6 years)

  • Yes, that's the original UT.

  • i love that game the guys at network in my school put in on for a week when it was our last year.

  • One step closer

  • Most impressive!!

  • yay!

  • that's really cool. I didn't know react os could support DirectX games yet.

  • unreal tournament runs with openGL here, software rendering. it uses DirectInput though

  • It can't. It only works with opengl and software rendering(opengl is a alternative to directx)
