As I understand it, there is a way to upload the file directly which then gives that HQ option; in fact a few HD Mino clips have a new Youtube option: "Watch in HD" !! And... it's the BEST I have ever seen Youtube look!

If LockerGnome were to discover how they are uploading their Mino HD footage to YT, this same video would look SHOCKINGLY better.

NO, i checked out the Kodak HD camera that goes for about the same price and the video it shoots looks way better. He even has a video he took with the Kodak, you can tell the difference.

Yea but the Kodak has a External Memory. Which is good and bad in many ways. For my opinion, that is a bad becuz you need to spend 40 bucks for a 2Gb card. Then the cost isn't the same. Also the Mino is more travel wise. Its smaller and more portable. Which for me is very good.The quality is about the same is you look on a review website. Not on youtube.(They compress the files to crap quality) The Kodak is slightly bigger so it might contain better components.

I hope no one is spending $40 on a 2GB SD card! Heck, you can get a 16GB card for under $30 bucks easily. You shouldn't have to spend more than $8 or $10 bucks for a 4GB card.

Bottom line, for people who would like more than 4GB of storage - and there are a lot of us - you can have very inexpensive unlimited storage with the Kodak. They are both good options, but the SD card argument against the Kodak is not as persuasive as you suggest.

The Mino has optical zoom which is the best. While the Kodak has digital zoom which is when the camera just enlarges the picture without doing anything with the lens.( Just like Cell Phone cameras) Also, the company "Flip" is newer then Kodak, so they might have made a not as good Firmware. While Kodak has been making Cameras since the first cameras came out.

I almost went for the flip video mino HD, but after seeing it in person....not so much. I went for a canon fs100. Its 640 X 480 resolution, but it looks very crisp on my lcd screen. Also, I like the fact that I can use SD cards for the video and pictures and it has a standard removable rechargeable battery....everything the flip mino HD doesn't have.
