This guy looks like Beethoven, and he always understands his music so well. I don't think I'll ever see a more convincing performer of Beethoven in my life.
Amazing performer. He could play pretty much anything at an age when most of us are barely old enough to be considered civilized....I do hope he's since given up that "Eraserhead" hairdo, though.
Every note is so clear. The dynamic on every note is precise. Kissin is like Glenn Gould in terms of precision, but I think Kissin has more power and strength in his performance.
23 are clearly totally deaf or totally blind or totally both. Whether you like the music, it would take an absolute div of the first order to not appreciate the incredible skill of this man!
I thought how would Von Bethoveen d play????? like you?.
I think you need to have higher proud like him for playing piano without others opinions for changing your personality or changing characters ,with using presuers. I hope your safty and happy life as a citizen and an artist.
I guess he caught the train previous to the one the already prepared for leaving people got. This 'who's playing fastest contest' causes lots of unnecessary mistakes and doesn't let it sound as a piece of music anymore. Compare with other performancers on YT youtself.
Actually I'm just wondering whether our dear friend Ludwig stopped searching and in anger started writing the rondo or first, angry about the lost wrote it and then after another search found the Groschen and completed the piece.
Man talk about some serious playing. That song is insane. He's sweating some major balls too haahah. This guy is great though hope I could be as good as him someday
OMG I got to see Evgeny Kissin play LIVE in concert last year in Washington D.C.!!!!! He played Chopin Concerto No. 2 in F minor. He was AMAZING, as he always will be. :)
@Garylonglong ...when you play a hugely demanding program in front of an audience of hundreds completely surrounding you in a suit, I think sweating is warranted.
1:22-1:25 you see Kissin like , woooooooooooooooow I just did that in yo face nigga! hahahaha. Great pianist and great music, I love all Beethoven's compositions.
I just thought about what was going through the minds of the people that disliked this video and came to the conclusion that they must be trapped in a self imposed prison that clouds their every thought. Either that or they are just plain ol' stupid.

A penny caused him such anger... so i am assuming a feather also could of triggered his rage... i wonder if there are any lost songs of 'Feather Rage!'... But think about it, next thing he needed one more penny to get something important, yet he just couldn't find it... that's the only reason I can see him getting so pissed over such an inferior object...
@Pianoguy32 exactly, say it in german and then translate. But why would beethoven talk about it if was so ancient.Did he use the pfennig term just 200 yrs ago?you say it has ancient roots. How far back.?Im too lazy to google it.what would the term of a mark penny be,Do they still use the pfennig term?
@fadethetrade pfennig = penny in german and has done for hundreds of years however the piece was not called this by Beethoven but by his biographer Anton Schindler after his death.

only Beethoven is capable of getting pissed over a lost penny and making a masterpiece out of it.
no other composer is making me feel so entirely understood about real life problems like Beethoven does. He is like a god that was human.
Hearing this actually reminds me of the money I lost recently and is like someone in the same situation is talking to me about it.
