This film could have been SO much better.......far too much american tree-hugging and not enough Irish SURFING.Stick another 20 mins onto "Power of three"and thats a PROPER Irish surf film. This is bollocks bar maybe a collective 5-10 mins out of the whole film, was hugely dissapointed when I paid hard-earned cash to see this in a cinema, and so did the other 5 people attending.
@loudnlowsham you're into your commercialised surf movies with warm water and perfect barrells showing sweet fuck all I'd say, correct me if I'm wrong but I actually don't think you could make this movie any better,it shows exactly what surfing is like here,if you don't like it go elsewhere
@TomRocheCork Just after noticeing your reply Tom,although I don t think you actually took the time to read mine properly! And I disaggree strongly with you on your view that it could nt have been made better, for a start ditch the annoying Molloy drivvle....feature IRISH surfers....it saddened me that Al mennie had no mention what-so-ever....you don t know me,or if im into"commercialised surf movies" so I don t see how that is relevant.Oh and I do like it here,I surf un-crowded waves in the NW ;)
I know the Regissuer of this movie!! his the husband of my moms friend! Surfing is the best...in ireland the waves are nasty! I get up at 7 just to surf.... usually before everyone wakes up... im 14 and i think im addicted.
Just saw it in the cinema and its very good and well worth a watch. Really interesting and moving story about George Freeth. The slow motion footage of Kelly Slater is incredible. Some great footage of the Cliffs of Moher, ending with massive waves at Mullaghmore. Well done to all
yeah cant wait to see it, looks fantastic, wish it was showing in more theatres in London. I would gladly swap my London pad for a board and tent on the shore now..
Hey Guys, cant wait to see the film!!! Saw ye on the Late Late friday, Yer doing great things for Irish Surfing!! Ye should be well proud of yourselves!!!
