Oh geez, I thought I should mention that Harpa (my KBD) was the best playmate for any dog until she got her adult personality. I thought for sure that all that dog park time would make her non-aggressive, but nope! It emerged when she became an adult. Around 1 yr and 6-8 months.

Yeah it happened with this KBD also. My dogs and he don't play any more because he became too aggressive.

@beth8507 it's probably bcuz karelian bear dogs r supposed 2 b more wild than other dogs. people bred them 2 b like this bcuz they r used 2 hunt bears. i have one 2. :D

Actually, that dog is my dogs playmate. They were both around 11 months old at the time I took this video with my phone. Ill check if I have any other videos, or if I see them a the dog park, i will take more videos. :)

Rare? What's rare?? A KBD playing with strange dogs at the dog park? I have a 2 year old KBD I took to the dog park almost every single day from the time she was 3 months old. She will still go there and play with strange dogs she doesn't know. My KBD is only aggressive to dogs on her territory or dogs that show her aggression first.....or for food, lol.

My KBD "Tyvek" and I have spent plenty of time at the local dog park. I love those ferocious play fights--the most fearful snarling, slamming, and flashing of fangs--but...miraculously no blood is ever drawn.

Off-leash dogs in a dog park are on neutral territory and have nothing to fight over. Just remember, if they're on leash, they're still connected to you and still territorial. You have to let them off-lead to relax and romp.
