the problem about these first round quarterbacks is that they are often picked to play for bad teams. The stragety is to build around them. Often with a running game, defense, and veteran recievers. Quinn and Russell never really had those although their defense are doing wonders to make them compatible. Its often the managments fault for their inability to build around their star picks.

A great QB would learn to adjust to what he had. In Brady's first Super Bowl win, he had no offensive weapons. I don't consider David patten, Troy Brown, or Terry Glenn great. The same with Kevin Faulk. The only good part of the offense was the line. The defense helped it went to the Super Bowl and when it. Especially with McGinest, Vrabel, Bruschi, and Law. And Ice Man Adam Vinatieri who was the big difference to the Patriots, because without Adam, they wouldn't have any Super Bowl wins.

DA is fine. Few in the league can throw the deep out with the velocity he does (and with a quick release). The thing with DA is his numbers will likely not change. As a starter in college and now with the Browns he has double figures TDs and ints. Last year's approx 3 to 2 ratio is enough to start and be successful in the NFL.

I am glad in retrospect that the Browns traded up and got him, even though my Chiefs were after the Cowboys (who traded with Cleveland so the Browns could get Quinn) and Herm had said he was definately getting Quinn if he fell that far.
